    Opinel can't beat them on price and blade as long as get carbon steel. Cheap and cheerful but good.

    Use panamec at 600mcg/kg this is equivalent to 0.6ml per 10kg orally for 6-8weeks. Covers demodecosis and sarcoptic mange, it is very effective and a lot cheaper than aludex/advocate. Suggest it to your vet but he/she won't "advocate" it as not licensed. I have used it many times from as early as 4months in English bull terriers.

    The people who train the best dogs and are natural with dogs hardly ever raise their voices, they are quiet in their commands and around their dogs. The dogs will respect you and want to please you more, and will be more natural and happy. I hate seeing dogs on their leads with their tails between their legs or cowed with a raised voice.     Having had a 3 legged hound that I removed its leg when it was 11weeks old, please forget even trying to fully domesticate your hound. We would never part with our bundle of trouble, and my god she has been trouble for 11years, but she is the most amazing creature as well.     Standard treatment is aludex and advocate, so you have not been had , except for "price" !

    No point in treating all your dogs, demodex is only passed from bitch to pup when feeding , so other dogs in the house won't get demodex from this dog. Save your money.

    The best treatment is panamec at 600mcg/kg orally daily for about 8 weeks, not expensive but most effective treatment of all. BUT this product is not licensed for this treatment, but if your vet rings the company and checks he /she will find a lot of information re treatment not only of demodecosis but also sarcoptic mange as well. You may need blood test to check liver function. This is a toxic product, but demodex is a b*****d to treat.
