  1. When i was younger it was easy to get a "permission", ..nowadays in most areas it's a little harder. To increase your chances, as already mentioned, buy insurance ( BASC for example ), and make some cheap business cards up. Then do the usual, knock doors, ask about etc. and hand out ya cards. Also, like you are doing here, ask about in some forums, maybe someone knows someone who needs pest control. Or even someone with a permission already, who would like ( or put up with ) a partner. Good luck, it's worth the effort.
  2. Thanks people, i feel at home already. I just wish i had more time, because there is so good stuff to read here.
  3. I am new here. But my advice ( because i am old, and know a little from experiance ) is this: 1, just ring your local police station, if you want to be clear, and tell them where you are going, and when, etc. There really ISN'T a need to do this, but i can't hurt. 2, make damn sure your pellets are nowhere near your weapon. 3, make sure your weapon is in a bag, if you have one., or otherwise wrap it up in several blankets. In fact, even if you have a sack, and you are going to be walking the streets, wrap the sack in a blanket too; ie, try to make it NOT look like a weapon to a passing memb
  4. Hello all. My name is Jon, or jjonn. I am a fan of your site, especially the forums, and have been "lurking" for a while. But then i was searching google for information on a fairground attraction that used air powered "machine guns", to shooot out stars on paper targets, that i remember from when i was a teenager ( too long ago). So i read the thread that came up, and wanted to register to reply. That place was here. So, hello! A am 40, have been an avid wild fisherman and air shooter since i was 7 years old. I have had many a rabbit, so so many rats and crows on farms when i grew up, squi
  5. HI all, i am new here to this forum, but i have been a lurker for quite some time. Anyway: I too, was looking for information on that fairgound "thing", and found this: It's a couple of years old now, but informative, and maybe you OP could contact the guy from it. http://funfairads.com/2010/01/11/machine-gun-shoot-out-the-star/ i remember the "shoot out the stars" game, from Southsea seafront fairground, over 20 years ago. Damned thing was IMPOSSIBLE. The gun worked ok, but if you went too wide, you failed, and if you left even the tiniest bit of star outline you also failed. Terribl
