  1. Well said. If the dog is not getting enough oxygen to its muscles it must stop. A car must stop when it runs out of petrol. I cannot see the point of a dog that runs itself to the point of complete exhaustion. I would rather have a dog that works out that the odds are in the quarry's favour and quits. Much better that way because the dog is fresh enough for a run where the odds are more in its favour. I know there's this big macho thing about never quitting and some owners seem to think it's a refection on themselves--some sort of half arsed John Wayne syndrome. It's bollox. Dog that pick
  2. Whys that, another free attempt at selling a basically non working litter for £350 a pup. Some nuggets will fall into the trap. They were 6 weeks old in June 2011. Nobody's trying to flog anything.
  3. Enjoyed----but some of the shots should not have been attempted because of the extreme range . Nothing worse than peppering quarry needlessly.
  4. Poor buggers stacked like supermarket goods. Guess the muzzling is because of the agression that type of kenneling causes? Would they not be more likely to turn their head in a race if they have so much pent up aggression?
  5. There's two dog pups of that breeding on Preloved. They were on here as well. Look cracking pups. I think they are situated on the Scottish/English border. ive looked on there and cant seem to findthem mate, cheers Yes they are still there. Two dog pups. In Maryport Cumbria. £100 each, Telephone: 07857493980 I don't know the lad but I remember the pups from when they were on here. They looked well reared pups. I was tempted but he had no bitches.

  7. Well done mate. I'm amazed it didn't die of fright just being handled and getting the beak trimmed. I keep goldies (cage bred) and I've seen them sometimes die in my hand of a heart attack just catching them up. He must be a tough little bugger.
  8. So that's what's happened to my kid's guinea pig.

    Ducklings

Watched rooks carrying twigs this afternoon. Ducklings require livefood don't they? Like others have said they will hard pushed to survive. let's hope all this early nesting activity means we'll get a good dry summer.
  10. Thanks for the replies. Didn't mean to upset whippet men. Far from it.
  11. I get it, I'm the new kid in the class and the bitchy girls are ganging up.
  12. Its rarely the dog thats thick, its the other end of the lead where the problems arise. Now now put your claws in bitch. Every lurcher I've owned, admittedly collie based, would turn their noses up at a lure and if they were interested they would jump the barrier and cut the lure off at the first bend. I guess whippets have terrier blood way back and that gives them their chase anything mentality.
  13. I think they must be pretty dim otherwise why would they chase rabbits one day and then chase a lure on a track the next? A lurcher or even a greyhound surely wouldn't be fooled if they've seen the real thing? I'm not criticising them, I love them, I keep two but i don't think they are blessed in the brains department. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
  14. Where are you? On the planet I mean. We had some coypu in the UK at one time but I think I'm right in saying that they were all eradicated. I think they were in the Norfolk. They are big animals when you are close to them.
  15. Excellent video. Well done.
  16. 2 went down badger sett and other in rock piles seen another hit rabbit sett I never knew that. As the lad says you learn something new every day..
  17. If you want a merle, Hancock is your man.He specialises in collie crosses.
  18. I would prefer the deerhound as the sire too, as long as he was a proven working dog which does the job he was bred for.
