Wire direct, Mine is now fused in the 12v cig connector, the coil wire is a pain in the ar** and gets caught on edges to easily so I always rewire with thicker straight stuff.

+1 i've made a cheap dimmer from a dimmer unit off the bay. Cost about £5 including postage much cheaper than deben. Lamping on foot or from a vehicle??

Hi, New to this site, but been into fieldsports since I was older enough to get involved. I enjoy game shooting and hold a FAC so try and get out and do abit of rabbiting and foxing.
