  1. Lol,yes megapixel size was what I tried to say .. tried!Over iso 400 and the gap opens, that is interesting.I take it that you mean perfect light also? Very interesting. The d300 is a really good camera, and a lot of pros using d3 used it as their second camera, some used it as their first.... Had I not squashed mine I would probably still have it now, as my second camera.. I have friends with d7000 and d7100 and these seem to manage low light well, and are sensiblypriced..might also be worth a look at, as the d700 is now obsolete I suppose the replacement for a D700 user would be a D750
  2. Question for you with experience of using both models. Being that they share the same sensor and with equal good light/conditions and matching focal lengths was there difference in picture quality?,in reality there should'nt be in ideal light should there?
  3. Total accident, forgot it was next to the back wheel, still attached to my d300 both knacked....:-(Claimed on my house insurance no problems :-) I take it you did'nt replace the D300?

  14. Try something like a digital sub' to 'Field & Stream',yes a Yank. mag but far better value at only around a tenner per year (I think) got nothing to lose really at that price.'Shooting Times' is nothing like what it used to be years ago today and too PC for my liking & 'Countryman's Weekly' is no more that a printed bog roll and a joke in comparison to what it was like in the far off quality days of 'Shooting News'.As for fly-fishing the mentioned 'Fly Fishing & Fly Tying' is a quality mag.And I've always rated 'Trout & Salmon' but it's too expensive IMO so I knocked it on the
