  3. Had you been near anywhere with rats mate? sounds like wiels disease with it taking him so quick. Sorry for your loss by the way.
  4. But if rabbits are your only legal quarry surely a collie/grey will give you enough stamina and speed...As i said its all down to personel preference, i personally think a bull lurcher, in the majority are calmer than wheaten or collie crosses. In my opinion far too many people assume bull lurchers are only capable of being point and slip merchants, i have owned and know many that are good ferreting dogs, lampers and more than capable of using their nose.... Well said and tried telling certain folk this but there just blinkered, funny though isn't it that you dont get many folk on here tha
  5. You show me any lurcher that nails every fox it runs on darklord! take it you never been out on the fox "pre ban" and if you have or had your telling me your dogs nailed every single one you run on? if so your a liar!. Its not just about catching stuff its watching the dogs work n run.seen the dvd your on about and yeah they miss afew but there are also some good runs on there too. WHO SAYS MY DOGS NAIL FOX PRE BAN EVERYTIME BUT NO BULL CAN NAIL EM EVERYTIME LOOK AT THE WRECKIN KREW DVD ITS EQUIVELENT IN SIZE OF A WHIPPET PAIRED UP ON A RATS AS THEM BIG USELESS THINGS PAIRED UP ON FOX AND
  6. Nice looking dog,looks more like a 3/8ths bull,5/8ths grey.

  8. ? because all the decent running dogs are getting ruined by people putting shitty bullx into its mix when theres no need what are only good for 1 thing .... You obviously no nothing about Bull x's do you slip the dog! I take mine ferreting, they mark well, good with all live stock and run well, and will run on anything I put them too,.....what I would call an all rounder, might not be everybody's choice but to call them shitty shows how much you know.....which doesn't sound like much!
  9. Both my Bull crosses run fine slip the dog, agreed that my male Charlie isnt suited to Hares "IF" he was to chase one but thats against the law int it,but my bitch has bags of stamina and nails anything I put her to,from the same lines but you wouldn't think so to look at her. I do agree that alot dont look like they could run 100 yards but there are some good ones out there
  10. I have a clulite with flip up red filter you can pick them up at a reasonable price, and battery pack is a deben 12V18AH/20HR. Quite big n bulky but lasts a full lamping session
  11. This is my bitch....Charlie's niece she's from sire a half n half bullgrey and Charlie's sis, she's gone alot racier as you can see.23" and 50lb
  12. Here's an old pic of my dog Charlie he's 5/8ths greyhound 3/8ths bull. Still looks the same and now i've learnt how to get pics resized lol will add some more.
  13. Pit bulls maybe illegal but this doesnt mean there arent plenty about! And they do get used for breeding by some. Whatever the breeding of the dog and for whatever reason its breed aslong as the owners happy thats all that matters
  14. Agree with Hunting mad, some of the Bull x's you see dont look like they could run 100 yards! It is all in the breeding and depending what your wanting out of a dog,I have been Lucky with mine Charlie is a big Dog but he is an all rounder and I take him mooching around for miles, good with ferrets, marking and all livestock. My other bull x Lady is alot racier than him to the point she doesn't look as bullish as him and she's out of the same lines.
  15. Tried uploading pics of Charlie but said file too big? if you go on my profile theres pics of him from threads couple of years ago
  16. To me the big difference will be the size and speed the 5/8ths bull is going to throw more towards the bull and be alot smaller in size. Will make for game dogs I imagine but have no experience with them as workers only in my my bullx's
  17. Thought I had read wrong at 1st when saw 5/8ths bull 3/8ths greyhound.....nice looking dogs there in the pics. My dog Charlie is the other way unfortunatley and 27" to the shoulder and 90lb......happy hunting
  18. Been along time off here with training, work family etc,how is everyone doing?,I now have another Bull x.....Charlies niece a tiger brindle that has gone more the mothers way and is very racey will get some pics up asap. Charlie is still going strong and as game as ever
