Right i now i look like a twat but the last batch of traps i bought of flatpack the hoops bend right inwards towards the trigger iv tried pulling them back out toward 90 degrees. and bent the trigger forward slightly to compansate. but the last fortnight using these traps iv cought an absolute heap by there foot. ive bought probably a thousand traps last few years and had no trouble but this last batch fek me iv had moles dead just inside the tube pulled traps out to find a foot cought in the spring

How much you guy's paying for BR traps? I buy couple hundred a year from flat pack but last batch of hundred the loop springs are bent back a funny angle and ive literely cought couple hundred moles last fortnight single paddle in the trapand a couple of paddle and no mole poor f#%kers.

Bought a hundred traps of e bay 6 years ago thought id had a bargain. looked at the picture of the trap, all looked great when they arrived where absolute shite the springs where weak the trigger hook wire soft. they had cut paste a picture of a flatpack trap, buyer beware!!!!! If your only messin about at it they'd probably catch the odd one but when you make your living by them quality definitely pays. quality usualy comes at a price. atb

Any strong reasons not to use hazel poles on a quick set ?
Thequietman replied to Paid's topic in Longnetting
I used to use fiber glass poles on all my long nets but couldnt stand the sound of them clinking at night its such an artificial sound and spooked the rabbits something rotten as most of my fields are small your always dropping the net within meters of the bunnies changed to hazel and with good results nice and quiet with quickset method. practacing witha trad i nocked up getting there slowly but clove hitch in the dark is testing me -
Get most of my white moles 5 or 6 a season on three farms that border each other. with the odd one here and there

Hi there any of you guy's flown a tiercel regularly at snipe? been giving it serious thought last few months weather its a viable quarry. not a huge amount of game down this neck of the woods but usualy plenty of these little rockets.

Hi there have been doing fair bit of netting last year or two with a couple of quick set setups but getting soft i dont like to kill them i relocate them to my poorer farms. well my nets are now propper chewed holes every where no pun intended. after reading peg to peg and trolling through old threads it seems there is a marked difference in sheet netting and hand made nets am thinking of making a trad net how much and what type of twine do you recomend for 100 yarder plus 100% bag in 4z cheers
