I've seen videos on YouTube set in the afghan deserts and similar places, where trained eagles pull mountain goats off the edge to their death and also kill wolves aswell. A very powerful hunter.!

Falcons and Hawks normally pierce the spine by generating speed, then with either talon or beak, disable the quarry. Depending on the quarry size some can and will die before they hit the ground although usually a bop will outstretch its wings slightly when landed and guard its kill. Falconers sometimes use a blanket to cover the quarry because it can be a task to get the bird off.

Looking for permission for some air rifle shooting. If anyone is willing for me to tag along and share spoils from time.to.time id be grateful. Really struggling at the minute. Thinking of a different approach with the farmers and get some permission for some ferreting. Hopefully that might work. In the meantime though if anyone could help that would be brilliant. I know the score and realise how hard it is to get permission so people may be reluctant but Im an experienced bloke who knows the dos and donts very well. Nice one hunters ;-)

Im venturing all the way from Birmingham to Dumfries on Saturday to play an allday festival to raise money for Help for Heroes and Motor Neurone disease. If you live in the vicinity then I advise you to get on this! Under 12's are free. 1pm-11pm More details on the website http://xfest.net/

Another for you to check out! http://www.inkwellarts.org.uk/2013/03/09/outdoor-pallet-furniture/

Don't know if you have looked into it, but I've been doing a few things with wooden pallets. They're free, easy to get hold of and you can turn them into anything. I particularly like the garden furniture that can be made. Have a look on here to give you and idea... http://adventuresincreating.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/showing-some-love-to-pallets.html?m=1

It's a tough one. But I think the letter of permission and empty barrel/mag and gun in the slip should really do the job. If not, I need to get myself an invisible coat.!!

Just had a little look on line for you. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_is_my_ferret_losing_weight#page2 Good luck

That's what I thought myself but it's a question I've never addressed before so I just wanted to see others views on it. It's a catch 22 situation because a lot of the UK public rights of way paths, cut across lots of farm land, it only takes one mardy farmer to kick off, and in a way he has his rights because more than likely he's come across a poacher or 2 in the past. Keeping the gun in the slip and sticking to the rights of way should keep everyone happy... I hope ;-)

Im the same. RWS Superdomes do the job. I've attached a link for you mate. Blackpool Air Rifles stock it at about £35. Not that expensive really and should be a benefit to the gun. That's the plan anyway lol

Kruby01, just clocked you're from Shropshire and you shoot with a Stoeger x20. I've got one myself. Decent springer, I've found anyway. Affordable! Not keen on the trigger. Gonna fit the Charles Da Tuna kit in a couple of weeks. Hopefully that should do the job! What pellets do you use with it?

Cheers fellas. I've always walked with my gun in the slip but I was just curious. Never thought about it before.

" " " Just a little question, hopefully someone can answer. Something I've never thought of or considered before. Say I was to get permission, as I've stated before, I walk everywhere. If I was to walk on public marked footpaths, stiles etc, to get to my permission, and those footpaths/stiles took me through land I didn't have permission, where would I stand, and if its illegal, how can I get to where I need to go. Normally I would just get on my shoe express and go for it, but it's better to be in the know. Wouldnt wanna lose my shooter! " " " (I did post this on a similar

Nice one Deano, ill keep that in mind and have a go. Just a little question, hopefully someone can answer. Something I've never thought of before. Great shooting mate. You'll be getting some use out of that!

I know. I was surprised myself. He was friendly enough so I thought that would be the perfect gesture to show him the kind of bloke I am. But he seemed pretty steadfast. Im gonna make sure I get across the fact that Im not a local nob head from the nearby estates. Im a shropshire lad looking to get out of the city and back into the sticks. I know the dos and donts and what to say. Hopefully I sort something soon enough because target practice in the garden don't cut it for me.

They're always a bit different but I have to agree, actually already agreed above, that some halfwit scamp has ruined any chances and left the task to be 10 times harder.!!

Great shooting mate. No better schoolinguyen than a springer..!!

Good shout. Nowt wrong in going for a sup in the hope of meeting someone in the know. I've got 2 left Im gonna try. The one was rife with woodies, magpies and crows. The other looked a good ratting spot with 2 disused barns. Definitely worth an ask!
-
FFarmers are a right mixed bunch. I find some mindless plank head as scuppered the chances with each one I ask. I spoke to one and it seems I was too late. Someone's already nabbed the permission and he's not keen on anymore on his land. I think Im gonna head down the small pest route ratting etc and aim for a bit of ferreting to get my foot in the door. Thanks lads! Fingers crossed!

Ha you jammy git. You hold the keys to the fields their lad!

Evening hunters Im having a right headache getting permission. I moved to Birmingham a year ago from Shopshire and only recently after settling in have I ventured out to the local farms to try and get some airgun shooting permission. I know the do's and donts very well. Looking smart. Polite. Offering my help. Closing gates behind me. All the usual.! They just seem reluctant. I even went on a 14 mile walk yesterday and bumped into a farmer and gave him my pitch. Friendly enough bloke but still no luck. Walked half a mile past his house and witnesses 2 cows give birth. So I ran back
