    I GOT MY FIRST FERRET THREE DAYS AGO FROM A LOCAL GARDEN LESIRE CENTRE, AND THEY TOLD ME SHE WAS 15 WEEKS OLD. AFTER GETTING HER HOME I NOTICED THAT HER VULVA IS QUITE SWOLLEN, SHE HASNT GOT HAIR LOSS IS EATING AND ISNT THIN, IS THEIR SOMTHING WRONG? I DIDNT THINK SHE COULD COME INTO SEXUAL MATURATY THIS EARLY, LEAST NOT UNTIL SHE WAS A YEAR OLD? I DONT INTEND TO BREED HER AND WAS GOING TO HAVE HER SPAYED IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. SHOULD I DO IT SOONER? IS THIS NORMAL? WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP ON THIS ONE LADS AS IM QUITE WORRIED BOUT HER AFTER READING THE POSSABLE THINGS THAT SHE COULD

    any lads on here just work straight deerhounds? are there any good strains left, i know alot of the kc dogs got real big an developed weaknesses that would show up when worked. i really like these dogs and jus wanna learn more about em really, bin reading working deerhounds lurchers and longdogs by Bill doherty, an he has some crackin examples in there, jus wandered if any of you lads had any of the same calibre? cheers boys manc.

    just read an article statin that the glen is rarer than the giant panda, only a thousand of em about! whats happend to em all they look like a good strong dog, would have thought there were more about, dont know much about there workin capabilaties but they look more than capable. does anyone on here keep an work em anymore?

    gonna be getting meself a border in the near future and was wanderin weather there were any lines that stood out from the rest? only ever gonna be doing ratting but would like a fine example of the breed. love to see any pics of yours if you keep em, cheers

    i know that most kc registered terriers eg kc lakelands kerrys cairns etc aint any good for ground work anymore but can any terrier, with reason be used for ratting if introduced at the right age and all?

    what are patterdales like with kids? because some of the things i have read about them on here have made me reconsider getting one, i only want the dog for a bit of ratting maybe rabbiting and i have a small child, i obviously wouldnt leave the dog and my daughter unsupervised, and i would train the dog well but i dont want a dog thats gonna be arsey with the little un and a liabillity to train, should i just go with my origanal thoughts and get a russell type?

    who on here works lakies? will you post a pic or two of em as i aint seen many but the ones i ave seen i like alot and i think i might of found the terrier ive bin looking for. is it hard to get hold of a decent lakeland these days?
