  4. Darryl, this is an excellent set of videos. I am sure you have achieved your aim of showing " what can be done with "basic tools" to make a great rifle better" Everything is clearly explained and the whole exercise is easily followed. Well done and keep them coming!!!!!
  5. Love the generosity on this forum. Well done all.
  6. Best of luck with this new rifle Simon. It really is a beautiful gun. I was considering one myself but my local RFD told me that the waiting time for one was in excess of six weeks - clearly there are many folk who have also been smitten!

  10. I've used them a couple of times in the past and not had any problems - have tended to use Ramsbottom Scopes more though.
  11. You may want to avoid Ballistol, which is generally well regarded. It seems that it may damage nickle plated surfaces. I saw something to this effect on Youtube, which you might feel like checking. Sorry I don't have a link.

  15. What a looker! Understand why you are like the kid in the sweet shop
  16. This is a great read. You don't often get the opportunity to read about the more budget end of the spectrum and I enjoyed your turn of phrase in describing the outing.
  17. Thank you all. I shall take my courage in my hands and give it a go!
  18. Hi all I have never dared to mess with the internals of any airgun. I have recently watched a German poster's video on Youtube of the disassembly of an HW95. He states that if the 'stock' HW 95 sub 12ft.lb spring is fitted then no special tools are needed and he warns that disassembly of a gun with a spring of greater than 12ft/lbs energy output should only be undertaken by an expert. He then demonstrates how to do this on his 5.5 ft/lb model. My question is a simple one for those who have undertaken the disassembly of a UK model HW95 - do you need a spring compressor or not? I
  19. Thank goodness for people like Davy!!!!!!
  20. Love the lateral thinking!!! You simply MUST post a picture when you've done
  21. Thank you. Never know when you might need this. Registered today! Great find.
  22. Great review. Wonder whether Brocock will incorporate your suggestion about a safety?
  23. Hi I've got one of these. Can't say a great deal about it other than it fits but I find it a bit of a hassle pulling the caps both on and off. I honestly prefer the standard caps. Hope that helps. ATB Eric
