  2. first of of all it does not matter how much permission you have , as you don't need land to shoot over to get a shotgun certificate ……..secondly , on the the application form were it asks for previous convictions …….just write in .." unsure of previous convictions please refer to police records……..and before anybody on here tells you that you cannot do that ……..you can …..as thats what i did ……good luck

  8. got to beg to differ charlie , but then again opinions vary , had a couple of 243,s in the past and various other cals .......as a 1 all round rifle i would not swap my 6.5x55 for any of them tbh only my opinion though ....maybe i have just found a rifle that suits me right down to the ground

  11. 6.5x55 swede all day everyday and any other day imo ........had various calibre over the yrs from .243 through to .308 ...... found the 6.5x55 on my set up real comfy to use and the follow through shot excellent ........... i use the browning x-bolt with a T12 mod and a nikon pro-staff scope ..........cannot find one single fault with this calibre or set up ..........loves ppu ammo @£12.50 a box and shoots sub 1/2" @ 125 mtrs ........just my opinion for whats its worth , doubt you will find a better ergonomic round either imo

  13. 1050yrds with a 22 thats some serious shot 150 yrds maybe .......but 1050 yrds ..............BOLLOCKS or missed typed take your pick........i will go for the missed typed oops my bad sry .....never read correctly just seen the 22 ...........not the middle stead ..........nice shot then lol

  15. i have a .204 its makes a great foxing rifle imo very accurate out to 300yds ..........as for rabbits.......i see em i shoot em .......if i was to worry about cost i would be looking for another hobby ..........go get your .204 you wont go far wrong as an all round rifle . ( apart from the obvious ie deer species )

I still disagree with a shotgun it is still important to worry about your back stop and thats speaking as some one who has been shot more than once by wayward guns on driven days gotta agree with dan .........rifle or shotgun ........both require extreme care and caution ...........start thinking you dont need to think back stop or distance with shotgun.........sooner or later you will wish you had

  19. depending on the FAO .......he may ask why you want a .223 or 22.250 as the .243 can be used for both fox and deer .........as long as you can give a valid reason he may grant it .........good luck
