  1. I live in the town, and I'm quite happy here it certainley makes me appreciate it when i get into the country beating or what have you , and theres plenty of rabbits, squrrels and rats, very few people have any idea of what i'm up to when i go for a mooch about... BorderBoy
  2. thats all mine need, and if they arent warm enough in that your bed box is too BIG.
  3. Think so? Frankly; I was nicely surprised myself! Control Figures. I think that was a bit of a loaded Q, there was no scope for answers, either "Putting in a naked ferret and using Field Craft" or "I put in a Collared ferret and rely on Box and Spade", what about "I put in a Collared ferret and rely on fieldcraft, resorting to the locator if something goes wrong"? I didnt vote in that poll because there wasnt an option that suited, and i assumed that using a collar on a ferret was standard practice?? BorderBoy
  4. when you upload you photos there is a link a little below the "Add More Images" button, "uploading options" click that, then a whole load of options will come up such as "Avatar ( 100 x 75 ), Thumbnail ( 160 x 120 )" ect, you want the one "Message Board ( 640 x 480 )" that should sort it for you
  5. Sorry to hear about your ferret what a bummer, but its an occupational hazard that comes hand in hand woth working any animal I bet theres a greater number of ferrets being worked with a collar on than without?
  6. Some nice looking knives on this thread! just been taking a look through the british blade forums to get an idea about knife making, but its so overwhelming, the tools they have are amazing ... would anybody be able to point me in the right direction in what to buy? are the kits on attleborough acces' any good? Thanks Borderboy
  7. What do you mean? The time taken to actually put the net in place? I imagine it should only take a couple of minutes
  8. it wasnt a dig at you or your dog, just a passing comment. if it came across sounding stupid, i'm sorry. I hope he does you proud for many year to come....
  9. he's looking real smart look at the size of his feet
  10. How many meshes do you make them? eg start 10 adding till 18, or whatever.... Thanks BorderBoy
  11. Yep dont see why not, tie the dog up run the net out quietly, then let the dog bush up. I have a spot that i do something similar with, using a 12ft gate net over a gap in some rabbit fencing.... Just make sure the dog knows what the net is, otherwise it gets a bit messy
  12. no more likely than anyother breed imo
  13. first time mine saw a fox, it was dead one, she just sniffed and looked the other way - is the same with everything unless its running away from her
