  1. Welcome Steve, your brother in law sounds like a top bloke we'll go shooting soon
  2. If anybody is willing to let me tag along for a day, been interested in terrier work for a while but never had the opportunity. Willing to travel, I'm based near horncastle, Lincolnshire. I've got a Patterdale, but like myself, no experience. Anything is appreciated.
  3. I had a JRT and now I have a Patterdale, the patt is only 12 weeks but showing great promise. As hack said, it's to do with the breeding. Good luck with making the choice

  7. Hello mate, welcome. Glad to see some more members from Lincolnshire
  8. Some mixed views, but definetly some great advice. Thanks for the comments. I'm going to take my time with her, I already have a great dog, hopefully she'll become a great worker . Thanks again
  9. As some people may already know, I've got an 11 week old Patterdale bitch. The whole family has already got a soft spot for her. She's a nuttall/wheeler and the bloke I got her off bred her for his own use to work with his hounds and other terriers so she's definetly comes from good stock. I've read a lot of books and internet pages but havnt had much hands on experiences with working terriers. What would be some sound advice with getting her onto the right path with being a great all rounded dog. Also what age should I "really" introduce her to quarry?? Sorry for sounding like an amateur, bu
  10. Some cracking dogs on here. got myself an 11 week old, red Patterdale bitch "ruby". Need to work out how to upload a pic
  11. Hello all, Just joined today to look up and receive advice, and hopefully provide some "probably in a few more years" . I'm into most countryside pursuits but at the moment I'm looking forward to getting to work with my Patterdale bitch "Ruby" (pictures will follow). Never had a working terrier before so any advice would be appreciated, or if anyone in the Lincolnshire area would be willing to take along myself and her to learn some tricks of the trade, that would be great . Thanks
