    A lady from Spennymoor in North EAST bought a puppy as a pet but she states its not fair to keep it as all it wants is .to hunt and retrieve all the time. Its a dog from working lines and has the usual short ears etc, it is red in colour and only 10 months old - is this too old to start training? Anyway, its free if anyone wants it! I would have it but to many dogs at the mo. PM ME FOR DETAILS Buck

    I AM TRAINING A LITTLE COCKER AND ITS ALL NEW TO ME. AS SOON AS I LFT MY GUN UP IN THE HIDE SHES OFF OUTSIDE STOPS AND LOOKS FOR A DROPPING BIRD. iM NOT A GREAT SHOT BUT IF I DO HIT ONE SHES GONE AWAY TO GET IT BEFORE ANY COMMAND. DO YOU PRAISE WHEN SHE COMES TO YOU WITH THE BIRD? I HAVE CALLED HER AFTER SHOOTING AND SHE DOES STOP BUT THE QUESTION IS, DO I PEG HER DOWN? THE STAY COMMAND BEFORE SHOOTING DOES NOT WORK - SHES JUST OFF. PEEVED ME TOGAY BECAUSE EVERY TIME I GOT INTO POSSITION TO SHOOT SHE RAN OUT OF THE HIDE AND THE PIGEONS FLECKED OFF. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. C

    Just been reading topic on working dogs re docking tails. Though some people would appreciate this gen/advice (having said that some always spoil thing on here). Anyway - Vets just rip you off! Im sure we will all agree. My advice is look for a freelance who works from home. All local vets wher i live wanted £30 per pup so i llooked around and I found one in Northumberland who is pro working dogs, works from home and only charges £12 per tail- with certs all above board and no chipping until later in life if needed.     i live in north east and what peeved me on my last litter was that my local vet wanted £30 per pup and stated they had to be chipped there and then! what a rip off! found a freelance vet who worked rom home who charged £12 each pup and no chip needed but offered to do it any time after ten weeks. Conclusion; My advice would be to find a relance with no overheads! anyone in north east wanting that vets details PM me.

    I looking to get a van for transporting my dogs but need rear seats now and again. VAUXHALL DO A COMBO VAN HAS ANYONE HAD ONE? are they any good and whatrealistic mpg do you get? cheers Buck

    what price are you wanting for a bitch.

    are they from working stock ?

    pedigree?

    are the parents the size of a medium border (thats what i have along with my working cocker)?

    Id say reds first cross.What makes you say the border has russell in it?? If its definately got russell in it its not a border is it? its what i would describe as a leggy type with a longer snowt, it bounces on its hind legs like a russell and pappered up but that means nowt - anyway that doesnt matter in after gen on how to get white into lines. thanks for comment and other gen

    What colour will the pups be if a white parson covers a grizzle border. Do the pups always end up the same colour as the mother or will some be white? i want a white pup you see and have a border, it has papers but its defo got jack in it. So do i cover with white dog or just try and find a white pup. Cheers for any info please dont mock as beginner at this.
