  1. The Leapers Accushot will take the recoil, built like a tank, a little heavy and long but if it'll fit the rifle I'd highly recommend one. J.S Ramsbottom have the 4-12x44 for less than £100, great value: http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/riflescopes-leapers/swat31244ir36color-leapers-swat-3-12x44-full-size-illuminated-mil-dot-30mm-side-focus-scope-36-colou.html ATB, John
  2. The V-Mach kits are very good IMHO, I have one fitted to my HW77K, very smooth consistent performance, never used a gas ram so couldn't comment. ATB, John
  3. I like the chequered and fluted forend, very nice. Not so sure about the comb of the stock though, I prefer the classic lines of the "old" 77, having said that I do occasionally like to use an old Williams aperture sight and hooded foresight from a HW80 with interchangeable elements. I've currently got my HW77K fitted with a Leapers Accushot 3-9x44 on 1 piece Sportsmatch 039c medium height mount, really low, 2mm clear, just enough room for the flip-up cover on the objevtive lens. Just my opinion of course, each to their own. ATB, John
  4. Thanks for the welcome lads ATB, John
  5. Looking to try some RWS Superfields in 4.52mm, the RWS manufactured variety not the re-badged JSB Exacts, my HW77 shoots well with the 4.51mm Superfields so thought I'd give the 4.52's a go, also looking for some H&N FTT's in 4.52mm. Can swap the following, 30-50 would be enough. AA Diablo Fields 4.52mm H&N FTT 4.50mm ATB, John
  6. Just returned to shooting after a break of nearly 30 yrs, got myself a HW77K in German home market spec 5.5 ft/lbs at a very good price and fitted a V-Mach kit to bring it up to power. Looking forward to reading the posts and perhaps contributing. ATB, John
