Agree mate. Shaped for me. 7-14,14,14,14-7...2 1/4" board gives a 42" net. Wouldn't go any smaller personally. 18 nets per ball. Holds the biggest rabbits no probs

Moorside - His First Lamping Trip...
AirgunGuy replied to Gaz_1989's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'm dying to see a whippet on the golf course bunnys mate. The golf course permissions i have are difficult for the dog. 1 is a no no as there's no room for the dog to run so i shoot on that 1. The other there's only 2-3 parts of the course that are open enough for the dog to get a run and he'd have to be on top of them very quickly as they're over a hill and out the beam or in the cover in seconds. He had a few but gave up as they can be very dangerous places to run a dog. I think if you could get GC permissions that are open with plenty of ground for them to run on then it would be -

Good wee read Golf course rabbits are fcukin fast in the short grass. Tried my whippet on them last year when he was young and unless he could get close before they took off he struggled with them or they went out the beam too quick -
Yes mate I have one and put raw meat including rabbit through it Sorry...should've said but i was meaning rabbits with bones also...as Lewis says
-
Do they put any more rabbits in the bag than any other ferret???...I would fcukin hope so at that price
-
Has anyone got 1? If so is it powerful enough for raw rabbits? Cheers.

....or maybe put an add up for free dog lead, new and leather of course...shiney new bowls and if you're feelin really generous you could take me all your perms free so the I can rape them to death with my cronies the next night ;-)

Pike flies are easy to come by now. Any of the big retailers should have them...unless you know someone that can whip them up for you ;-)
-
Use a 6501 C3 for salmon and pike occasionally. Much prefer fixed spool reels...can do everything a mutliplier can do and more and are much easier to use...especially when spinning ;-)

Bonnie lookin lass mate. Tell her to never mind the dogs and give you some of that treatment ;-)
-
Big and bright. Anything that resembles large bait fish and maybe with an epoxy head or a bit of weight at the head to give it movement. Deceivers are good to start with. Remember a trace...tight lines ;-)

But definitely not the RSPCA or RSPB ! Might aswel go ask the rspca for a dog to go coursing with while your there lmao .....and a torn faced terrier for the fox that shytin in the garden ;-)
-
Best bet probably to call SACS or BASC and ask 1 of their guys ;-)

your not looking at the bigger picture mate, its not about putting these things together, its the cost of manufacturing the vital components to the tolerances your looking for after someone's fettled it by hand for hours on end. these rifles will be made on cnc machines and the allowable tolerances will be given with the plans. for instance you ask me to make you something from mild steel, you give me tolerances of 40 thou i'll give you a price, then you ask for the same thing to be made but with a tolerance of a micron i'll give you a price that'll make you throw up I fully understand mat

Would they be classed as non-indigenous species and therefor ok to plug? :-/

Good stuff mate. Those were just my opinions. Spoke to John and a few other tuners and it just wasn't for me. If i'm really honest i would have gave it more thought if John was just down the road but the extra 50 quid to and from put it at more than i though it was worth However you do mention that the S10 is quite old now and with the advances in technology things could possibly have been better...BSA kinda made an arse of things with the mk1 R10 also. Whether that was the same situation...changes in design...mass production flaws, i don't knowbut there was certainly lots of issues with

To be fair though I know a few lads that have had work done to HW100's and Rapid 7's in order to get them shooting right. BSA Super 10's shoot fine out of the box when you could buy them new, its just that having a blueprint turns a good rifle into a fantastic rifle ! I don't doubt that for a second mate but how often do we hear about Rapids, HW's, S410's or any other pcp for that matter being "blueprinted"? Not very often as they usually shoot superb from the box...except maybe for a few. It just seems to be BSA's. That seems to be (going by by what i've read anyway) because BSA made

What a load of FCUKIN SIHTE!!! My whippet covered your bitch on the 28th Dec so this was over 6 months ago and you're spoutin this pish cos you're sittin full of the drink!!! Some of what you say is true but your ground...let me tell you about the ground you took me lampin to. When we were gettin out the car with the dogs a chap was puttin his 2 saluki x's back in the car after being over it and its no big secret that every cnut hunts the ground at the Magnum beach front so if that's your ground then you're welcome to it!!!The rabbits disappear at the sight of a fag gettin lit 100 yard -
If I can just add...while there is no doubt about JB's knowledge and craftmanship when it comes to pcp's I feel that these rifles should never have needed such extra work carried out in order to perform like this...they should've left the factory like this. I bought my mk3 BBK for 400 quid. It shoots well but should be better. I think a blueprint costs around 125 + vat + 50 postage both ways if you live a bit away. So based on that I would say a blueprint isn't really worth the money as you could buy a very good theoben or HW100 for the cost of an older rifle + blueprint costs. I spo
