  1. Totally incorrect in the UK. Cats belong to their owners regardless of where they happen to be, and to add insult to injury, their owners cannot be held liable for their actions. I'm not sure how sensible the OP is in openly admitting intent to kill cats on the forum... the next time a cat goes missing in the vicinity he could find himself answering some difficult questions. Given the fact that this is a commercial farm; I'd suggest the OP tells his employer to contact the NFU for advice and support. The police are duty bound to investigate any crime committed, and the killing of f
  2. Using a dog when squirrel hunting with catties puts a load more in the bag.
  3. Nice work. Squirrels will drive you mad at this time of year and will be hard to even spot until the cover dies off.
  4. A fit MHH, that hits hard and binds will have no problem with squirrels. I never had a problem with using chaps, maybe I was lucky but they never restricted the bird.
  5. Why don't you answer the questions you've been asked about your dogs and boar and about working Jagd breeders in England?
  6. They ain't my dogs. You know many working Jagd breeders in England? It's just stupid comment after stupid comment with you, ain't it?
  7. It's recognised in law that dogs kill cats. As long as there was no deliberate intent to make the dog attack the cat then there is no case to answer. If the cat owner wants to attempt to press the matter then they have to answer the questions as to their wilful neglect (not neglect by failure to properly care for an animal but by their failure to monitor the animals movements and allowing it to roam unchecked). It happens all of the time and as long as the dog owner isn't a prick who wants to try and mug the police off, then he/she shouldn't have a problem.
  8. That's a good looking pup, its gonna be a fair size and hopefully be good at its job. If the dog theives are so scared of you, why did they take your dog in the first place?
  9. What would you call it then? How do you train your dogs to work boar? Do your dogs work boar? If they don't then you're the clueless one because you've never done it yet are saying how it should be done. If you ain't busy there's a load of blokes like you down the local Weatherspoons, they know everything but haven't ever done anything.
  10. Told you marbles would work!! Lol!! Good shooting.
  11. I've just seen a photo of him. Going by the 2 of you, I reckon the dinner ladies were very very generous at your school.
  12. If he went to your school I should imagine that he's heavily medicated most of the time.
  13. Her first solo rat. It gave a good account of itself!!

I'd say that there are far greater numbers with shotguns and air rifles who cause wounding, albeit at greater distances and larger quarry.

You got a thing about old Darcy havnt you Baw ........maybe you should get out and do a few things to stop you getting bored Anyway, as an aside...........I wonder how many catapult shooters are capable of delivering a lethal shot consistently and how many are just hurting stuff for fun? Are you suggesting that people are shooting at stuff just to hurt it for their own pleasure? Or are you saying that they are trying to kill it but aren't accurate enough? Your hurting stuff for fun comment doesn't make sense. Catapults are an accurate and efficient tool for hunting, if used

That was 25 yards, but not a hexnut, it was a .38 conical bullet.

  18. You've got to go with what gives you confidence or you'll be doubting the shot before you even start to stretch the bands.

To start with and develop good form it's best to draw back to the same anchor point each time. once you are hitting stuff and have a system for shooting then the anchor point becomes less crucial. Accuracy is determined by the relation of the frame to the target. So, once proficient, you will be able to draw back to your chest, shoulder, ear, etc and still hit the target.

Use which ever hand feels comfortable. Eye dominance plays a part, if you can shoot a shotgun with both eyes open then you can shoot a catty like that too.
  23. At long range, 20 yards +, you'll notice them veer off to one side but at normal hunting ranges they are fine and hit hard.
