  2. Ahhhhhhhh, he's back!! You fooled me, you big fanny! Good work!
  3. I had to use crayon because I'm not allowed any sharp objects.
  4. please tell me how this stuff will benefit anyone with lurchers, as already stated to be used in dark open fields they require a large amount of ir light that can be seen from miles away with another nv unit, a normal lamp and filter will do the same job with less to carry and less to go wrong But a lamp can be seen from miles away by anyone with a naked eye, far further than any NV unit. check out how far away ir light can be seen from with another nv unit you might be surprised by the answer I know how far. I've got a couple of units myself. It's not as far as you seem to think. But

  8. Gen 2 Used for rats and foxes around my chicken shed. Gen 1, with this Shamal, running at 18 ft lbs, I regularly took bunnies out to 50 yards using this scope. You could easily detect eyeshine at 100 yards and rabbits at yards.
  9. look through a gen1 monocle then look in the same field with a kite or other quality kit and you will see one is night vision and one is kiddies toys I use gen 1 binocular with ir filter on my lamp its very clear and works well for me its anything but a kiddies toy. What do you use? i no longer bother with them when out with the dogs. when your at the stage of putting a ir filter on your 170. i took the view i might as well just use the lamp and red filter. they are very good for sitting in a high seat watching a baited area for lamp shy late season foxes. gen1 monoculars are incl
  10. Maybe it's just a case of you having poor examples of this type or you having unrealistic expectations.
  11. I think I'm half Eskimo, I can get out in shorts and T shirt in the depths of winter. The beaches on the South coast around Worthing are sand at low water and would give some good runs on fox back in the day.
  12. That stupid bull whippet thing of Blackstaff's is only any good to you if you want something that's lightning fast, smashes into anything, turns through 360 degrees as it's running and will chase and chase.
  13. Get it going! It's a good cause, I'll bid for it!
  14. You'll have to refocus for different distances with most NV.
  15. alot are using the lidl nv with a good ir for spotting with good results i use a bresser and with the in built ir you can see 60 yards or so with an extra ir i got from the nv forum i can see 400 yards so without pissing about focussing every other second you are telling me with a lidl monocular gen1 you can walk into a field and see clearly what's in there within a 60 yrd radius with no added ir illumination My Lidl one is digital not Gen 1, I had a Gen 2 before and they're comparable quality wise. The built in illuminate is good. I agree that you should have an additional IR source but
  16. Hahahahaha!! They're not sandals, (although I do like a sandal) they're Team Realtree Rubber shoes, like camouflage Crocs but with proper straps. They're my fishing shoes. As for the reel, I own a Penn multiplier and a couple of Shakespeare's that I use on the boat. I tried to cast with the Penn once, it was on the beach at Seaford. I put in to practice everything that I'd learnt and cast. I managed to actually tie my thumb to the reel with the resulting birdsnest! I've never tried one for casting since!
  17. Yeah, the M 8's. I could use heavier ammo but I think the point of these looped bands is speed. One of these was the same as yesterday's one but the other was diagonally above me, about 25 foot away. I could only see its head sticking out and scored a direct hit.
  18. I was taking the piss. I'm the last person that Mohammed would want. Even the Jehovah Witnesses got a court order to stop me from bothering them>
  19. I thought you'd share the photo where that fat bull terrier had knocked me to the ground or the other one where I was exposing my wares!
  20. Iam sure everyone knows about bull blood being used in GH many years back but i believe he's asking us what we used before the current trend towards bull and sal blood as none of us are old enough to have been knocking about with Lord Orford , buster. You've not met kranky then??The question comes across like bull x are brand new cross never been done before that's just not true, salukis yes over the last few decades but bulls have been around for ever and my point of lord orford was if he was making a x back then what makes you think they stopped there and started again in the 80's? If I've
  21. Castration Bands are the small strong rubber rings that are use to remove tails and balls off of lambs and pigs by cutting off the blood. They are tiny and can be used to secure bands to forks. But not in all cases.
