Savage Model 110 308 rifle. This rifle comes with TWO bedded stocks (as seen in picture), although I never took it out of the thumbhole plus two sets of studs. It is a very 'pointable' rifle and so would be perfect for woodland stalking, whilst still being accurate at the longer ranges. It has a floor plate magazine system that can hold 4 rounds. Cycles and fires perfectly, crown is clean (not threadded); barrel, action and thumbhole stock is in v good condition whilst the plain stock one has a few small scratches. Only reason for selling it is that I have inherited a modded paker hale

The hutch looks really good, how many ferrets do you have in it? I was thinking of something similar but with just one level, but I mite do as you have done to allow separation if needed.

Thanks for the tips purcell18 & lifelong cumbrian. Advice from people with experience will hopefully mean I don't make too many mistakes... *fingers crossed* Little jack - it does seem like a really nice area, close to calshot and lepe for fishing too. Will have to do the rounds with the farmers to see what land I can pick up, is always difficult starting from scratch so not holding out too much hope initially!

Ok great thanks, I will see what I can get hold of and upload pictures of the finished product. After reading some of the other threads I have gathered it is very important to keep them stimulated with toys etc, but that they get bored quickly. Would it therefore be best to introduce a few toys at a time and keep cycling them or put them all in to start?

Thanks Foxtails - Have had a look in the thread and is some good info. Joe14 - I hadn't thought of that, my partners parents have a spare small shed that I may be able to acquire. Will they not chew through the wood and escape?

Thanks for the replies. I have a pretty big garden and as I'm not much of a gardener will be turfing most. There is a concrete platform at the back of my garage that I was going to sit the hutch on, this backs onto a 8 foot by 10 foot square of turf before hitting the greenhouse. The initial idea was to have the run extend onto all/some of this, with the hutch being contained within the run. I'm guessing it would therefore be best to tile the turf to the required area for the run, or are any other materials better? Also, the run will be fine made out of chicken wire or can they ge

Evening, I have been ferreting a number of times and after completing my house move am hoping to build a ferret hutch & run in my back garden and get ferrets of my own. Does anyone have any advice/details/photos of ferret hutch design and size (for 2-3 ferrets). Also, how large a run should they have and is it best to keep them on concrete, grass or a combination? Any comments on the above and advice for a novice will be appreciated! Cheers, Matt

Hi all, A bit about me... I'm Matt and I've just moved from Plymouth to the South East tip of the New Forest. I have been into country sports for a number of years, starting off with sea fishing at a very early age (my father had a boat). I then tried shooting via pest control with air rifles about 13 years ago, progressing to shotguns and rifles (.22s & .308s). Most recently I have taken up Trout fly fishing, although am still very much a beginner! As you can see, I love all country sports! I have read these forums for quite a while but have now decided to create an accoun
