  2. This topic has probly been done many times before but what food have you got your lurchers on? Do you notice any difference feeding them dearer more quality food??

  4. This may sound daft and wrong but.. My lad hated any dogs smaller than him for some reason but once around them for 5 mins would stop barking and dragging towards them.. S I simply took him to a working lurcher and terrier show in southport haha.. He barked a lot and I did get loads of dirty looks but eventually he got bored and to this day I think he learnt his lesson as he isn't that arsed anymore. He was around 5 6 months then and is 10 months now so it could of been he has just grown out of it or my snidely sly trick worked?? God knows but thank god he has grown out of it abit..

  15. A friend suggested using rabbit skin around a block of wood.. Will this still have the same effect to the dog? As it will be easier to throw the bit of wood than a rabbit down a corridor haha?
  16. Good read, the problem I have is my dog won't put things in his mouth I throw.. He will chase after a ball but not pick it up once near it.. Any ideas?? Can you practice retrieving with an dead rabbit as he wil happily Toby round all day with one in his mouth?

  18. a friend of mine works 2 on rats and cover.. in my opinion they arnt the smartest dogs in the world and miss quite a few but i suppose their not the worst dogs in the world!
  19. mine is the same.. when he is out on the lamp he is switched on to death. get him home and he is the calmest most loving dog in the world.
  20. id say its a load of shite.. i dont see how there "hard work"? ofcourse with them having bull in them they are more likely to have a much higher prey drive than others.. this isnt really a problem just abit more training and time.. not really hard work in my opinion like.
  21. 28 on foot around liverpool between 2 dogs.. very rarely get out of liverpool with the dogs as i dont drive so i think its a preety good result considering half the time we go on a walk we see feck all
