    Iv learnt this lesson, know your vets. some will rip you off whilst others will do the job right at a reasonable price !!!

    Just picked ted up from the vets. his tendon was 2/3 through so he has stitched him up. he said all been well and no infectiong gets in ted should make full recovery! Music to my ears!!

    All well that ends well. main thing is my running dog can still do his job.

    Just been to see a different vet he said the toe does not need to come off. he is going to stitch him up and hopefully will be fine. to say i won't be going back to original vet is putting it polite !!

    Just first thing you think as soon as vet said he won't run the same a gain. paying money out if he's not going to be right! it's a nightmare getting a proper dog doing real well then this happens!!

    just got back from vets. where I had my 18 month old lurcher. whilst exercising dogs tonight my pup came back with a limp. got him home blood all over so straight to the vets. he has torn a tendon on his back right foot. the vet continues to say she wants to take the toe off. so my first question will he run the same after? she says not! I would like to know if anyone else had same happen to there dog and how did it affect the working ability of dog??

    I have both to work along side each other. which works fine but i don't use the cocker as a gun dog. not my thing

    Work does get in the way in winter for during week with dark nights. so have to make most of week ends!

    I couldn't agree more. then our government brings out the dammed 'hunting ban!' it's all been said before but i still can't get me head round it!!

    Ha my mistake. i took an aussie ferreting once (he loved it!) that does the boar hunting in his country! Big powerful dogs them!!

    Just read back again it was morton that posted about illegally set snare mate.

    Didn't mention anything about the snare been illegal. just that iv never liked snares and now even less after that incident.

    Once u slip the dog just flip the red filter up. better for you and dog to see then.

    My cocker got caught in a snare. i had been searching for a couple of hours before i found him (alive) but feeling very sorry for himself! for some people i guess they have there uses. just certainly not for me!!!
