  1. What is the difference between the dc 40 collar and this new t5 collar your talking about
  2. As always the thl experts are missing my point what I'm trying to say is a lot of the new type led type torches and lamps with there pencil thin beam are not great for running dogs on for many reasons but the most important is how dogs react to that type of light. And thank you all for pointing out not to lamp the dog in the eyes which is obviously were I've been going wrong!
  3. Very tough trousers but not waterproof as stated also flies hard to use and strange way to do them up also don't take a belt. The coats are crap they are lined with what looks like a plastic bin bag which pokes out of sleeves and hood its also very noisy . Not a good company to deal with they stated they sent my jacket by Royal Mail but it did not arrive then had to wait seven weeks for replacement .
  4. Very interesting response god knows how you manage to get your rabbits to only run away from you I think I will leave it there!
  5. I fully take your point and can tell you no best . I was just pointing out that I feel a bit of view around your quarry can't be a bad thing to give your dog best chance of escaping each run without a collision . Also have you ever been out in a field having a new led light shined at you, I think you will be surprised at how disorientating the led type beam is compared to bulb type light . Have run dogs on both types of light and just feel bulb light suits my dogs better but as I have said only my humble opinion.
  6. Fine pair of dogs the bitch looks a flying machine the dog seems to be producing a few good animals he must be lining a few bitches as seen some good looking youngsters all showing his stamp which must be a good sign.
  7. I am interested as to why you all crave a very tight beam as I like the dog to have a good view around quarry. Also the biggest problem for me with all the new led lamps is the lack of dimmer which I could not be with out .
  8. Love the black muzzle how is the little fella bred
  9. Take your point but you must also take mine from experience black to black produces choc very quickly if your breeding tight
  10. Chocolate colour generally comes from inbreeding black hence fell terriers cocker spaniel labs ect so if the guy on face book says he has had the same line for a while and bred tight he may well have started to produce chocolate . For interest sake this line was black or red to start with but as the say a good dog can't be a bad colour so it matters little what colour they are so long as they can do there job.
  11. What line a mating of a 3/4 bred dog to presumably an unrelated bitch ?
  12. I'm sure terminator was out of meg litter sister to SB punch put back to a pure g hound so I assume terminator was a 3/4 bred so dought you got a first cross out of him also bet dog been dead over 12 years maybe more hope that helps.
  13. It's always the few that ruin it for the majority and I totally agree that current coursing methods are wrong but to label a coursing man a child abuser is disgraceful . I'm sure the media and police use language like this to vilify dog men so members of public ring as soon as they see anyone out with a dog doing there job for them .
  14. Last week on south today Fred dinage announced that people involved in wildlife crime including coursing and fish poaching were also likely to be into drug dealing and child abbuse .
  15. I purchased a working bull x from you to compliment my track suit and general hard man image. It did it all including buck rats so no complaints here
  16. Could you give me an idea of a price on your free running mills to take lurchers 60 to 80lb in weight and up to 27 inches tts. PM if you prefer.
  17. I've read lots of posts on here about slipping young dogs on there first rabbits, heard lots say don't let your dog run anything it won't be able to catch i don't quite understand this obviously pick easy rabbits and squatters, but do young dogs catch on there first run? Or do they pick up experience after several runs? I've had my 11month saluki x on a few runs but no kills dropped a rabbit in a large feild for her a she had it no probs and she's keen as mustard. What I'm asking is how many runs on average lamp/day till young dogs start to catch? Any info and advice from your own experiences
  18. Hello mate, I have a 12 week saluki x greyhound and since I've hade her most foods seem to go straight thro her with clear mucus and a little blood in her poo, she has been to the vet as she dropped a bit of weight, the vet assured me there was nothing to worry about I've put her on skinners puppy field and trial and she eats well has put weight on and her poo is nearly back to normal, hope your pup is ok let us no. Cheers joe.
