    hi mate i got mine hanging about 3-4 foot off the floor i wouldnt reccomend no less than 3 1/2 off the floor. i got mine on a litter of terriers pups so them or the dam cant reach it.but if yours is a lurcher etc keep it out of reach. and also make sure you hang it if any of the lamp is touching anything it will burn and could end up in a fire. atb,lamper12.
