Ireland RISE to stage RALLY at BIRR GAME FAIR
sammcc replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Just hunt I understand we're you and many others are coming from, but on our trips to London profits were made by either flight, ferries ,coaches ,digs for those that stayed over and catering firms. I am sure you will agree that our trips did not come cheep, but did we give a dam NO because we were fighting the fight. I will be at Birr again to show my support to a worthy cause the RISE rally hope to meet you there. Yours in sport Sam. -
Ireland RISE to stage RALLY at BIRR GAME FAIR
sammcc replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Ff the rise rally is a worthy enough cause regardless of your views on the fair, many men and woman from are fair country travelled to London a few years ago to show support and at there own expense, surly you can stretch to attending this rally in our own back yard. Fat man RISE may not be giving there support to the IWTF of that I don't know, but surely in showing our support and standing side by side in our battles not just there's we will in time gain there support. -
Thank you Albert for your kind offer hopefully there will be a good response, Thank you again.sam.

I was thinking of trying to organise a coach for any members of the IWTF and any other people interested in making an effort to support RISE and the country game fair,I think a number of around 50 people would be needed to make it cost effective .the coach would be leaving from Belfast feel free to pm me if interested ? Ireland RISE to stage RALLY at BIRR GAME FAIR
sammcc replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Would be a excellent opportunity for members of the recently formed IWTF to turn out in numbers show support ,and meet up with each other, also attend the excellent game fair and give these fairs the support they rightly deserve because be leave it or not they give a lot back to the sports we all love and cherish . Yours in sport sammcc -
Great job Neil true dedication from a true terrier man.

I haven't been to a lot of fairs or shows in Ireland over the past years,I try to attend the odd one across the water but today I was at shanes mainly to help out friends with there IWTF stand. I have to commend Albert j and his team for putting on a really enjoyable fair in not to nice of conditions,I found the settings, the displays, the stalls and the staff to be second to none. It was nice to catch up with some faces from the past and also to meet some new ones, there was a great turn out of dogs and a good standard the judges had there work cut out. Again to all who were involved from ch

Couldn't agree more Albert,Marks determination and Barry's good guidance give us a voice which we so badly needed, now with all the good men sitting on the committe we as the affiliated clubs can only do our best to ensure the federation goes from strength to strength.
-
I am on a helping out exercise Terryorr ,all the good work behind this federation is down to many better men than me. Any help that our club can give when asked by the federation will be given as am sure it will be the same with the many affiliated clubs through out Ireland. Ps wash that big face of yours and smarten up you may be asked to give a break to someone on the IWTF stand at the 50th game fair at Shane's .

A very big thank you to Albert j and his great team for there very generous offer of permitting the IWTF to have a stand and a opportunity to promote them selves at there 50th irish game fair at Shane's castle and also at Birr ,these are by far the biggest and best country fairs in Ireland and the federation is honoured to have been given this opportunity . There will be members of the federation in attendance ,myself and Neil cooney that I know of so far so any questions you have in relation to the federation ,what we are about, our aims or if it's about starting up your own club and becoming

Ireland Request to all shows through out Ireland

I am sure most of you are aware of the IWTF that has recently been formed to promote/educate the side of pest controll the media don't show, also they have set up a stolen dogs link to try and stamp out or at the least help in the return of said dogs. This being a newly formed organisation needs help and am not to proud a man to ask for help,I would never ask that the charitys or other organisations which recieve donations from the many shows across our island be affected in any way,but would ask that perhaps a bucket in the centre of the ring with an board with IWTF donations beside it ,were th -
Thank you for your prompt reply Albert, the lad behind the federation is called Mark and he is doing a lot of good work behind the scenes at his on expense .i will ask him to contact you and bring you up to speed with there agenda and proposals,in relation to the bill I mentioned there is one coming up for review in the south within the coming weeks and there is a rally organised by RISE in Cork this Thursday at 1900 details in the terrier section of hunting life. There is also a further bill being tabled in our on parament some time in September ,but mark can give you more details when you me

Albert you don't know me so I hope you don't find me cheeky in what I am asking,I know that through your excellent game fairs much needed money is raised for very needy charities and for that I take my hat of to you and your dedicated team. Also through your excellent magazine country life is brought into many homes, there is at the moment a very real threat to that country life which we have all enjoyed legally for many years as there is a bill being proposed to ban the use of dogs for hunting in both north and south of Ireland. I would ask of you that through your magazine you appeal to all

I think we all need to take a step back ,stop shouting over the top of each other and learn from each other not attack our selves. I have seen the paper that has been drafted up by stopend,(I think you should change your name jmo) and it covers pretty much every thing that needs covering and if terrier men adhere to it our image will be vastly improved.i also think that conducting ourselves in a proper manor whether it be in public or on a network is of equal importance, let's not get all defensive when someone disagrees with your personal opinion try to resolve the matter like the adults we a

Thanks for all the replys and pm all were helpful.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly the dogs here have a more severe problem.
-
From your previous posts I noted your comments about your dogs, n/s dogs having problems with there eyes. To what extent has this problem went, has it lead to blindness,or having to have the eyes removed or in the extrem cases has the dog needed to be put to sleep. Also if you had it all to do again would you put this strain into your dogs knowing what you know now. The dogs that developed this eye problem did they lead a full working life or was it cut short. Hope I don't offend in asking these questions busterdog and if I do I apologise ,it's just we have a couple of dogs here with the e

ANTI TERRIERWORK WEBSITES - THINK BEFORE YOU POST !!!!
sammcc replied to Barrie's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Barrie having known you for to many years you have my utmost respect in your endeavour to educate the section of terrier folk that feel the need to come on web sites and discuss there recent trips out in the field. Gone are the days when we would meet for a drink and chat at a decent show with men we knew and trusted, yes dogs and digs were spoke of but that's were it stayed (in the field) I remember Brian stating 25 years ago the Internet would be our worst enemy and he was 100per cent right. Good luck in every thing you do. Sam. -
I have know Barrie for many years and the terrier world owes this man a lot ,the work that he has done for are cause is second to none.
