  1. Steve there were 4 pups in the litter, 2 dogs 2 bitches. 2 blacks and 2 Border coloured. 2 bitches went to a friend in England, bushed about and dug the odd fox with them. The other dog went to P.M.. as well as the Sam dog, it was an ugly f****r like a Border/Sealyham cross, never made a dog.
  2. Thanks, as I said my information is sketchy. The bitch Roma is supposed to be out of , is supposed to be out of Bosco and a Nuttall bitch. You probably know more about these dogs than I do Scar Face, but thank you for your help.
  3. Going of a bit from your topic. I have a few blank spaces the breeding of a dog I owned. He was out of a bitch called Roma that J.H owned, Roma was out of a dog called Stan, and an unknown bitch I believe owned by S.T. From in around Dundalk I believe. The unknown bitch was supposed to have a dog called Bosco who was supposed to be out of a dog called Alf ( came over from Wales). I think these dogs where in around the Waterford area, not expecting much information as it’s a while ago now, but if you don’t ask . I have owners names for the mentioned dogs but as I don’t know the men I won’t us
  4. Sam was breed by Billy Caldwell, my digging partner at the time. He was out of a full border dog called Dandy and a Nuttall bitch called Brandy. He was give to Pete Madden when he was around 8/9 month old, i delivered the dog along with some 8 week old pups Billy had also breed. Pete had a old black dog there who killed terriers for fun,(a wanker of a dog to ground) he parted Sam and kept the old dog.
  5. Looking good, and doing good Aimee. You know how to breed them?
  6. Good going Steve. Rubble making his name as hunt terrier, so all in all not to bad.
  7. Thank you. Both litter brothers, 16 month old, top one had a dozen digs, bottom one 15 -16 digs including a 3.5 meter dig. Doing good for there 1st season.
  8. Great weekend, great company, way to much alcohol. Standard of dogs was very good, but even more pleasing was the amount of young handlers showing in all classes. There lies our future. Thank you very much to all the Merseyside lads and lasses, even Kevin's missus who tried to rob me for £.00 for 2 fleeces lol. Thanks again
  9. Few of us coming over for this, will the Merseyside have any of there Hoodies and Fleeces for sale? at the show
  10. There was a dog called Bone, that was brought over here back around 1980ish, he belonged to a family of travelers called Caseys? I think. He was a big strong red dog, hard in his style of working. Then there was a black &tan bitch called Tanner brought over, it was said she was Bones mother, Winston, a big red dog was the father , did Winston belong to a hairdresser? Sam
  11. I have had the pleasure of being in DFs company, both socially and in the field. I have been gifted pups and studs over bitches. Not once have I heard him describe his dogs as DFs terriers, also on written details of the dogs breeding he was open and truthful in who breed them and there back ground. Other men make these super heroes in the dog game , usually for there own gain, the men that keep the dogs and put in the graft just want to get on with it. No books , no fame and glory, just enjoying what there is left to enjoy, before it's gone .
  12. First meet Arthur, at a show in Barnsley behind the Miners inn, many years ago, last time was to have a few beers and a chat 3 or 4 years back. A true gent. RIP. Arthur. Condolences to his family.
  13. just some notes I took whilst at Brian's, some time ago
