I took my whippet greyhound out at 7 months just me and him it was windy dark, he ran the rabbits once he saw them moving. Took him ferreting a few times and let him get used to the nets. -

Iv got a saluki bull cross and after a night out lamping I give him a court rabbit as a treat and he eats it all but he is hard mouthed but I'm not sure if I do the same with my 6 month whippet greyhound it will make him hard mouthed. ?

I took my 6 month old whippet x greyhound ferreting today I kept him on the lead and let him watch 2 older lurchers which are good around the warrens and nets. As the day went on I started letting off a av a walk about sniffing he Evan had a good run after one bolted out of a un netted hole. After about 5 hours and we ad a load in the bag I got a live one out of a net took it to the middle the field we were ferreting and let it go and slipped the dog and got it after about 40 yard run, he dropped it and got it again and then retrieved back to hand, I was suited and the pup loved it. I'm sorry I won't ever do it again officer ill get rid of my dogs and ferrets and ill get a new hobby. Bell ends!!!! Even the copper said last night that we will struggle to get lamping permission up in the dales not knowing any farmers or game keepers.

Just say to the judge this my hobby I'm not doing any harm to anyone if anything I'm helping the farmers by killing the rabbits i eat the rabbits and feed my ferrets with them my dogs are breed to do it and love it. I'm never gonna stop so you might aswell send me to jail and once I get out ill do it again and again and again.

Just got in been out all night we started on a bit of permission we got till about one then made out way home the long way around and though the dales at about 3 we had about 12 dead rabbits on the back seat footwell. My pal was lamping out of window just aving a look in fields and police pulled up behind us. He asked what we were doing and we told him we was on our way home and just been nosy lamping fields looking for rabbits to see if it is worth asking for farmers permission in the future. we showed him our permission slip from a farm that was 30 miles away. He wasnt daft he new the score

Well I can't get no permission iv tryed loads of times Evan offered to work for them for free and pay them to let us on. So footpaths I thought are the next best thing. If I get court I was gonna try say I'm on a footpath. Well if that don't work what else can I say?

If walking on footpaths in the dales with a lamp at night and your dog is off it lead and gets a rabbit is that illegal ? And could you get done?

She where 3/4 beardie I had only just started her on lamp but day time mooching and ferreting she was bang on. Deffently gonna get another in the future.

this was my collie x she was a Hancock 14 months old 23" tts.

The shivery whippet went to be a pet with a friend and the collie x was sadly hit by a car and had to be put down. Iv got a saluki bull greyhound he 3 years old 26 tts he not bad at ferreting just a bit big.

Pre ban where collie x greyhound ever used for hare coursing, would they have use them in matches?

I had a whippet found him a bit shivery when ferreting standing about in the cold and wouldn't follow bolting rabbits in to cover. I ad a collie x rough coated and she would follow a rabbit anywhere it went it helped her aving a thicker coat. But still Iv just got a whippet x greyhound pup, but i think I should av got a collie x,never mind ill see how he does,he mainly for lamping.

I no the feeling pal 2 weeks ago I was ready to give up on mine for hunting up i would slip him down the beam and if he missed it he would hunt up the hole field till he ad scared everything away and decide to come back about 5 minutes later. so for the last resort I got a electric shock collar and it worked brilliantly he comes back straight away and I don't Evan av to shock him it has a warning vibration button do I just use that and he nose to come back. Then once he back to me On the slip i scan the field and off he goes again. Better for him and me.
