    I'm looking at getting a new pup to train up to come ferreting with me iv been taking my saluki bull grayhound but I think he's a bit big at 26 inch and doesn't get through the cover. An ideas and pics of your ferreting dogs cheers.

    Iv got a saluki bull grayhound he 26 inch so I was wanting a little collie cross 23 inch for ferreting and lamping rabbits like I had .but I want a pup so iv no excuse and it down to me and my trainning.

    I had a handcock rough coated bitch she was really good and showed a lot of promise but she was sadly killed at 16 months old. But I don't no if it was just luck or the trainning she was given. Im scared if I get another and put in all the time and effort in and it turns out shit.

    Been out today really enjoyed it in the snow found a load of holes I didn't no was there by following the foot prints. I ferreted one warren and the ferret stayed put so I had to dig 4 ft to it. Once through the ferrets came out, I put my arm up the tube and pulled the rabbit out then put the ferret back in, i could here more banging and a rabbit tryed to get out but struggled to get free of my ferret (baby face). So I pulled it out this happened again straight after but one bolted and my lurcher reggi came to the rescue and managed to catch it through so cover. All in all a good day.
