  1. Very interested in the binoculars. Any chance of a few photos... will call number shortly to discuss further.
  2. I only sight my rifles in the exact conditions I plan in shooting in... As in - I don't see the point in using a clamp as in the field you won't be able too. I would check your rings - are they tight?
  3. Being from NZ where there are no foxes - if I am lucky enough to shoot one over here. I'd get the skin tanned professionally and take it back with me!
  4. Back home in New Zealand, I have a Tikka T3 and can't fault it in any way at all. It is lightweight, durable and handles the harsh weather conditions perfectly. It only cost me around $1400 NZD - or 700 pounds or there abouts What about a Sako 85 Finnlight?
  5. If you don't mind me asking (PM if you prefer). Where from and how much? I am looking at taking some back to NZ in a year or two's time. Thanks.
  6. Are you able to shoot lead here in the UK? Back home lead is banned unless shooting more than 200m away from a water source. Therefore - I shoot 3" #2's with good success. Pack a punch when shooting all day.
  7. Back in New Zealand I would often drive 100km to some of my better locations - I never worried to much about petrol costs. Over here - I have no idea how far I will have to drive if I can find any hunting that is.
  8. Although I haven't shot any Roe deer or foxes. Back in New Zealand I have taken many Red and Fallow deer with the .243 with good results. I personally had a good run out of the Hornady 87gr HP projectiles.
  9. Thanks guys - I've been having a bit of success lately. Out hunting most weekends and normally coming home with a heavy pack. Hunting is a little bit different here in NZ I think - I hunt Government land and normally have to walk up to 3-4 hours into a hut and base myself from there. Yeah - here's hoping I can get onto a few species over here. I would love to take a roe buck and a muntjac I think they are called. Is there a section where I can put up a few stories and not just photo's....? Jono
  10. Hey guys, I've recently relocated to the UK from New Zealand. I'm a secondary school teacher and am doing a working OE for a year or two. I'm a mad keen hunter and have had a bit of success in back home hunting the various species. I will miss the hunting but I figured I will get the travelling bug outer my system whilst I'm young and have no commitments. I'm not sure what the hunting scene is like here in the UK or what restrictions are in place - but I would love to get out and experience different ways of hunting and hopefully take a few different species whilst I'm here.
