  5. Last night the sun was bright so i grabbed my 177 bsa r10 mk2 vc and got my dad to take me to my permission (as im not old enough to walk my gun there ) i arrived there and spotted some pigeons in the tree at the bottom of the paddock i slowly walked down and about 8 female pheasants ran across the paddock about 5 yards in front of me. Thank fully this did not spook the pigeons i got within 20m somehow and could not get a shot due to the sun blinding me i moved into the shade very slowly but they flew i had a look around and there was nothing more about so i put the gun back in the bag went
  6. its awfull to see birds of prey and song birds being shot you do right waiting for them,i went to farm i shoot at a few weeks back and i found to shot pined wagtails with blood all over there chest and there's a few who shoots up there so i couldn't say which one did it
  7. Thanks for all this info guys I must say the range on a rimefire isn't much greater than and air rifle in 177 and possibly 22 yes you don't need holdover with the rimfire but in the right hands a air rifle will kill just as far as a .22 rimfire not a HMR
  8. Thanks for the replays lads much appreciated
  9. Hi doggame, Iam afraid to say my r10 has not been to mr bowkett and it will out shoot your s410 when ever it likes its just a way better gun than the heap of crap s410, and that makes my and I'm sure a lot of other people laugh when you say the s410 looks better than the r10 you should go to specsavers ha
  10. Hi guys was wondering if anyone still ferrets at this time of year is it ok to do so if you release the small baby's that you could catch, some mates of mine were out yesterday and invited my to have a look out tomorrow on a farm that wants rid of rabbits should I or shouldn't I that's the question

  15. Hi I was wondering what your views and thoughts are about which is better a air rifle(preferably a pcp) or a .22 rimfire I will always vote for an air rifle, this I and on going argument between me and mates (accuracy, range, noise, were you can shoot etc in your opinions what's the best?
  16. Well my first pcp was a s200 what I still have, I think the s200 and the ultra are the best first pcps around small and mighty you could say I then got a s410 and they are sh*t so I got the r10 and they are amazing
  17. try the easter eggs sounds like a plan (nice one skot)
  18. my s410 was fairly heavy but we placed a new safety in it and then it was like a hair pin VERY LIGHT
  19. a very nice gun mate, nothing like my r-10 though
  20. I know someone who has a xs19 he put a WWT on it this makes the most difference as the standard trigger is awful he then fitted a smk silencer and a ox spring and it takes out rabbits at 30m+ no problem and gets decent groups not amazing but a thumb nail size is what it gets, quite a smooth cocking action breaking the barrel fells nice and sturdy no movement or frightfull noises they aren't as bad as people thing to be honest, but at first we went though lots of pellets and couldn't get groups until he got the new trigger from woodfield gun care/tuneing and then the groups were brill hope this
  21. There's a lot of snow on the moors at Stanhope near me and you can see every rabbit from miles away there was one right on the side of the road curled up sat looking at me so I stopped about 3m away and shot it with the catapult don't know what was wrong with it it was a healthy rabbit but it wouldn't move and inch just looked at me for a minute so then I shot it
  22. i think ive found out whats went wrong the screw in the bottom of the barrel clamp is sort and dose not tighten and always falls out i think ive snaped the screw whem it fell causing the barrel to move, so im looking to buy a new screw any ideas and where to get one will try Chambers
