  3. I am very glad it has got a good home...As opposed to going to you dogtilly to churn out unproven pups..a lot of people assume bull lurchers are merely rifles to be aimed and fired at quarry not brought on by careful handling like other breeds..its idiotic posts like yours that show genuine lads why you must keep a closed shop to prevent messers getting their paws on your lines

  5. Just a question pal. not meant to be helpful or disrespectful. Just never heard of a terrier entering an occupied earth then coming back out then going back in to do the job. Hope i dont start the handbags and tantrums. The dogs done his job. Iv seen a little bitch do it once used get the foxes to bolt well... I had a little bitch, used to find the stuff, do 15 mins or so then come to the mouth of the hole and look as if she was asking what we were doing. I could call her away or send her back in, if she went back in she stayed till I broke through to her, dug her 7, 8,s and 9,s a f

  7. Wilf, this is not a critique', but how many dogs have you went through, until you have got the dog that is "up to scratch" ? Is a dog that may not be the "ideal"; not good enough to be given a permenant home ?? I am a person who has spent a lifetime looking for the "DOG", but am sensible enough to realise it ain't gonna happen !!! Cheers. Its a sensable post........to be honest, I have not gone through many (1 or 2).........but I belive that there are certain things you want your dog to do, there is one main criteria........it may do lots of other stuff well, or to a standard but it ma

  14. I,ve seen the dog run and in Pauls yard, everything he says is true, i,must admit to being suprised at how well he runs and how steady he is considerin he,s an ex track dog, thought he,d be chasin crisp packets at 600 yds and disappearing into next county would make a top pot- filler for someone . He,s well bred too, out of Larkhill Joe. Hope you get him sorted Paul

  21. Good to see the dogs position themselves for the bolters, the little fast one's are superb, they can catch a bunny before you've seen it! What sort of length are your hedge nets? Only done a small amount on the hedgrows myself, suppose there a lot quicker to set up than a load of purse nets in rough nettle beds and scrub in the hedge bottoms. 15yards on quickset poles, most of the hedges on mine are real thick and generally hawthorn!,you,d end up looking like you,d bin stuck in a sack with a tomcat setting pursenets! lot easier sticking the net through agap, the rabbits almost always run
  22. yea brimmer, couple of hedge nets and a long net, mostly hedgerow rabbits on my land, bang a coule of nets through and let the dogs do the rest. aught one each in the field and the little bitch caught 3 before the,yd got a foot out the burrow, she,s gettin very good at predicting which hole is gona get a bolt and is usually there
  23. Has anyone bought one of the new lithium ion batterys from deben? they,r expensive but are they any good??
