  1. Your just plain wrong their mate, and obviously have not a clue what you are talking about.
  2. As others have said Kay a nice long walk together. Good luck.
  3. [they do have the anti chew one tho,i was thinking about buying a few i think il stick with the rubber matting.. Gary mine were the anti chew ones - if you read the small print they do say that no bed is completely chew proof, shame cos they are good beds and I liked the fact you can hose them down, it's back to shredded paper for me
  4. these are meant to be the boll ocks!!! they own gwp's so that gives you a clue lol... http://www.tuffies.co.uk/ Yes they are great beds - I had three - then I got my lurcher pup and she destroyed all three in one day - At £70 a pop.
  5. Just to clarify my post. I'm not advocating running hares at 4 months (I know people who have :o ) or lamping your dog silly at a young age. As I said though my present pup has been out since she was jagged. at this age they can’t run anything, my bitch would just watch, and hopefully learn. As they get older then yes you hold them back but not too much, let them scramble over obstacles, investigate kills made by the other dogs etc. As Meerihunter said they need to ‘trip and fall and bump themselves’ to learn to negotiate the ground they are expected to run on. IMHO to give a pup
  6. Obviously the owner of these dogs did not follow this advice. see posts 31 -32 and 33. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...30&start=30 IMHO a dog learns nothing in the kennel and mine are out as soon as they are jagged, it's seemed to have worked for me over the years or perhaps I've just been lucky
  7. Some really good clips of Saluki's hunting on YouTube. Here is another good link to Arabic forum Love the replies you got especially this one. But why not raise prey to quit their blood, then taste A very delicious I don't suppose hanging and bleeding 10 rabbits the Halal way was high on your priorities.
  8. It looks like Orinoco from the Wombles! H Just spat my tea out laughing - your right you know
  9. Well done Jason hope everything goes ok for you. I can tell from meeting you that you have more than done your homework and have several mentors so enjoy and I look forward to reading about 'Spuds' first kill.
  10. I see they have a 'contact us' and a 'feedback' section - it's only polite to make use of it
  11. Important thing to remember is that as Hannah said they have no control over their bladder until about 12 weeks of age. So as has been said it's up to you to let them out everytime they wake up , after food etc, they soon get the idea.
  12. Touche..... True can't comment on what I haven't seen. Perhaps I'm lucky with my ESS, shes bred in the purple but is a very small type (15 inches). works all day and finds in the thickest of cover. Each to their own.
  13. You have been out with the wrong spaniels then I don't shoot and my spaniel was bought up with lurchers I'd say over a season she probably accounts for as much game as the other dogs. Must admit I've no experience of small hounds though. I looked into getting a Teckel years ago, what put me of though was the stories of them turning a 'deafy' and hunting miles infront.
  14. At last some sense. I've had both and IMHO a good spaniel of the right type is far superior to a terrier wiith the added advantage you can stop them on a whistle
  15. I wish I had a pound every time I have heard this  Look at the IBR lost birds and see how many Harrises are on it
