  1. Hope someone can shed some light, the dogs had a flying first season. Dream dog to work with so far
  2. And probably doesnt help but this is what Oscar looked like when i got him at 6 and half months
  3. Bought a pup at 6 and a half months from a man in south wales over a year ago. Tried my best to find out about the Dam and Sire but would like to know more than he can tell me. All he told me is the bitch is coursing bred saluki type and the dog is 3/8 dh 5/8 grey. Anyone seen either of these dogs run or know anyone who has, please let me know, pics below cheers
  4. 4 more months then we'll see what he's made of. Wonder if he'll put more in the bag than Oscar from the off. Wouldn't surprise me. Cant feckin wait to see that stubble
  5. To be fair he never said what species. Most of them chinks are no quicker than a rabbit and they go down like a sack of shite. Wouldn't take a particularly good small dog to knock them over on a regular. Still, wouldn't be worthy of the description "good on deer" if all it took was one species.
  6. 18tts good on deer. Bet that was sight to see. Any pics?
  7. Haha now that's something id love to see. The little dogs might not always be quite as effective as decent sized lurcher but theyre definitely more fun to watch imo. Cheers shaun
  8. Got thinking today that I've not seen a lamping dog as small as my 16" mongrel. Wondering what's the smallest and largest running dogs that people have ever seen work. Get some pics and stories up people cheers
  9. Dogs over 24" struggle to catch rabbits? My 25" dog is by far the best rabbiter out of my 3 so I can't agree with that. And all 3 of mine are as keen to run a rabbit as they were on day 1 and theyve all seen plenty of all sorts. Maybe when they get to their 4th or 5th seasons they'll surprise me and start f****n about but I really can't see it....

  11. Yea that's what I'm gonna do, the problem is you'd think he was on game the way he charges about free running. Just find it strange how it won't heal inside. Only on the outside
  12. Yea hes been dew clawed. How am I gonna give it 6 months to heal without tape though? Do you mean keep him on lead the whole time??
  13. Not really sure what to do.... Any ideas?
  14. why the blue tape ? I thought at 1st maybe to protect its dew claws , but only 1 ? surprised you're the first one to ask. He almost cut his stopper off start of the season. Let it completely heal but as soon as I ran him again it came open. So again I laid him up a couple of weeks but then instead of risking it coming open again I wrapped it every time I ran him. After 6 or so weeks of it being wrapped I thought it would be fine as it had looked good as new for 7 weeks now. Anyway second night's lamping it came straight back open in the exact same place same shape and everything. So I've been
  15. . Couple of pics my mate took over the marsh yesterday morning. My lamping x coursing dogs back grafting again and doing everything I could ask so far Any more pics people?
