its only the truth in the original term lurcher which i have no problem in admitting. in the lurchermen world its a mongrel, happy now?Anyway, surely he can be classed as a toy lurcher?

Awwww now, doing searches is cheating doing searches?? the 2 furthest on the right, then skip one, then the next 2???

I need to get permission before i carry i video camera everywhere i go cos i never see rabbits on my daytime walks. but how do i go about getting permission?
-
Call me what you want i aint bothered, but as i keep saying, i dont for one minute think i know 1% the amount any of you do about lurchers as i have no experience in working a dog. Im simply pointing out that ive done my research since i became fascinated by lurchers. Thats why i came here for advice, cos you all know more than me about working a lurcher but as you dont agree with the breed of dog i own, i wont get any advice, just abuse.

So who exactly was it that changed the definition of a lurcher. The rescue kennels or the people who have worked and bred lurchers for many years? And is your/their definition now the 'official' definition of a lurcher? If i may point out a flaw in your argument.... Accidental breeding of non working dogs produced 'lurchers' not good enough to work so they ended up in rescue centres. !!!!! its not my definition, everywhere ive taken him have called him that, like the vets and stuff and thats just the way it is now, yeah in the rescue centres or when people are trying to sell thei

I will get a vid of him catching a rabbit, but what difference will that make to you? youll never admit youre wrong will you. Youd just come out with a load of bollox like the rabbit was f****d or some shit like that. And when did i say i know everything? I came on here to gain info and ask questions but almost any question i asked was replied with an answer that made no sense. No matter what ive asked all ive been told is not to work my dog but nobody will tell me why? other than cos you reckon it cant catch a rabbit whcih it clearly will and if you saw it run and didnt know the breed youd

Thats what i intend to do mate, but i think im gonna struggle with a lot of things that i actually came on here to find out. Like how and where do i obtain permission to lamp and does my dog need to be trained to look down the down etc? But i havent been at all taken seriously. I probably would of if i lied about the breed of my dog though. And i doubt a few pics of my dog with a few rabbits will do anything other than initiate another load of people having a go at me for the type of dog ive got anyway. But that is what ill do mate

Rude?? Who do you think you are?? I aint been rude to anyone thats been in the slightest bit helpful. ive only beenb rude to c**ts like you that get rude to me! Read the f****n thread you idiot. find one time ive been rude to someone who didnt start it?? You talk shit, you dont know what the f**k youre about do you? You think that anyone new to the site who hasnt worked a dog before should just let you c**ts say whatever the f**k you want and be grateful for it? What planet are you from

No it's not. It is a mongrel. The Chi or Yorkie are not working dogs First of all a lurcher by definition is a sighthound crossed with any other breed of of dog. Years ago the word lurcher may have only meant working dog or terrier crossed with a sighthound but not any more. Secondly a yorkie is a terrier which was bred for killing rats in clothing mills. Thats a working dog mate. And although the modern chihuahua is bred primalrily as a companion theyve been purposely scaled down over the years from a wild dog in mexico that survived by hunting all sorts of small mammals. Incorrect.

You must be retarded

Whys this dick posted a blank message?

This thread werent about my dog until somebody asked me what it is. From that point on a bunch of idiots cant get their heads round the fact that a ''toy lurcher'' could catch anything. And no youre claiming a yorkie wasnt a working dog??
-
Yea it is a pet, and it will catch rabbits. it already has when out walking with actual ex working dogs that havent, so dont try telling me im a prick for thinking it will. You think as i have no experience of working a dog i should just let you mugs tell me my dog wont catch anything? Whats wrong with you

Well as i said, my dog is very sociable and loves being around other dogs. Wether i need 2 dogs or not is irrelivant, what are you finding so difficult to understand?? I AM GETTING ANOTHER DOG!!! And my dog spends half the time i walk him in the bushes. i thought thats how you hunt rabbits in the daytime?? a terrier in the bush and a hound outside the bush?
-
what have i not listened to? what single comment have you made that i havent given a valid response to? its you that dont listen! youre so single minded that you actually cant understand anything that doesnt comply with your super hunter rules. what the f**k do you want me to say?? ok im sorry, ill never post on here again and ill never allow a dog with chihuahhua in it to attempt to catch a rabbit again. i also wont get another dog as YOU dont think its a good idea. Are you frustrated cos you cant give me a seious answer to my questions?? I asked you if i missing something, WHY CANT I WORK H

I know he'll be happier cos he's a very sociable dog, and its a fact that nothing makes a dog happier than hunting in packs. Its pure instinct, the only instinct thats stronger for a dog is to mate! Ive read and read so much about different types of crosses, but one thing that all lurchers have in common is that theyre all pack orientated animals that have a strong desire and incredible ability to hunt most animals in our country, and seeing as rabbits are the only legal prey in this country i dont think the type of cross i choose is really very important. theyre all capable of being great ra
