  1. I agree with what you say, but Putin is a sneaky fecker and a murdering one at that. Not say anyone else isn't, but it doesn't make him a nice bloke. He is a wrongen just like most of them, these types can always justify their actions.
  2. The Huntinglifes next greatest running dog Hybrids
  3. You will never lose, no body can steal it and you can use it as much as you like. Only downside is you cant use it how you like, to an extent. Woodland doesn't even have inheritance tax. Or at least that used to be the case.
  4. UK land, in the right place.
  5. Not sure what happened there. If you click on the text, then click on the icon, you should get a nice piccy
  6. a few lures from the Kenyan connection
  7. not flies but Jay feathers set on a pellet pot and a carp accessory tube
  8. We buy lots of flies here. I get them tied from a geezer in Kenya. I WhatsApp him the patterns, he sends me back his efforts, I say yay or nay. Give him half the dollar for materials, he sends me the order, then I pay the balance by PayPal. Very good arrangement Cuts out the middle men and we both benefit from the deal. Been doing this for about 5 years or so. He does everything from small nymphs to large Pike flies.
  9. My Fathers day consisted of meeting my son at 3.45am. He was just getting in from a night on the razz after a 10's Rugby tournament and I was reconfiguring blocks of cheddar in the smokery, taking advantage of the last cool spell. No Fathers Day was mentioned and to be honest, it doesn't mean owt to me. Although my Misses will dig him out tomorrow.
  10. Obviously, there's a whole heap of do's and don'ts. Especially as a few places are non working dog people. By the way, none of my dogs fight. There was only 1 incident and that was with the Mali dog. My sister in laws Kiwi, ex sheep farming husband was walking him and to say he was a bit shocked was an understatement. To be fair and considering the incident, he took it well. He had Huntaway's many moons ago, so very different dogs. Edited to add. the Mali/Bull Lurcher that stayed with the non working dog vegetarians worried me a fair bit. Keeps ya mind on edge eh?
  11. Done 3 weeks away this May. 13 year old Terrier/Spaniel went to my non dog type friend, cost me a days graft in his garden. My 11 year old Mali stayed with my sister in-law at my place. My well worn 9 year old lurcher went to a vegetarian friend of a friend, cost me £300 and they absolutely loved her, said she was the most well behaved dog they have ever met. The 3/8 5/8 Terrier Spaniel stayed with her brother in a friends house. Finally my two 18 month old Terrier/Spaniel bitches had to stay in my friends working dog kennels, along with 48 Spaniels, various security dogs and half a doze
  12. novelty value, yes. They are good fun for a little while. Not sure if they'd kill a rat. I shot a Woodie out the window of the truck, on the way back from school with my son. At about 15m or less, I had to chase it and shoot it again. My son at the age of 8 said "its not very good is it Dad" I have never shot anything but targets since.
  13. SGC. Unless you've got incredibly close pests to control, or the reason I've given below, I wouldn't bother. An air rifle is far more efficient in every way. The only reason I got one, was to teach the children gun safety. It was fun for them to shoot plastic milk cartons that were hung in the trees too.
  14. Be interesting to know how many were shot. I've been to lots of bits of ground that have been over run with rabbits and have had hundreds running about. sound familiar?
  15. They are talking about Highways officers. As far as I know, they cant give you a ticket, but I'm happy to be corrected. I do know that they are known as "Dustmen" because they pick up all the rubbish.
  16. 3 weeks in Tobago for me. Fishing, eating , drinking and most other exotic past times for me.
  17. I do when I get the chance. I'm a bit partial to a half smoked Regal too, lipstick flavour is the best.
