  1. Wrong time of year to be introducing a pup to an outside kennel, unless with another dog. If a pup is not used to it, it will create. you could always get some type of heater, infra-red etc. The best way to do it would be to put it out in the summer and let it acclimatise as the seasons get colder and even this sould be done bit by bit. At least if it keeps howling you can(after telling it to shut up a few times) chuck a cup of cold water at it, this has worked for me. You cant do the water thing in the winter.
  2. As said when done properly its all good. But driving across young crops and turning like your actually coursing the quarry in your motor, that is actually reckless. I still think the original culprit's are complete tossers. It has lost us a lot of game and work for our dogs.
  3. Not being funny, but what is he going on a propane gas course for ?, that is what you use in heaters. They are now using propane gas to blow rabbit earths. Kills every thing where it lays, BOOM That means if i am not mistaken that he is using an Erodinator, this is only classed as use for demolishing empty burrows, not for killing ocupants of used warrens. That is probably correct and to be quite honest I'm not exactly sure how it works. It must surely demolish some rabbits aswell
  4. We drive aswell but only to change our approach or to change the area working. Its not just about the driving, its about the vandalism, ruthlessness and careless attitude .
  5. Tap on the ankle......... sorry mate couldnt resist itg
  6. If it was down to me I would go to war but when the farmer is concerned about his property then you have to respect his wishes.

  8. The farmer said under no circumstance approach these men as he had his barn burnt some years ago and I think he is just sick of it. Apparently over £2000 worth of damage was done, thats a lot of wheel spins. He recons its just more simple to remove there quarry
  9. The keeper told us yesterday that he has to cull the hares as the farmer is sick of inconciderate dick heads driving across his crops with 4x4's coursing hares, he has also told us he is to go on a propane pest control course for rabbits . This is a very sad day as we had a real good thing going, using great respect and knowledge to keep the game under control but still leaving enough to continue to reap food from the land. I fecking hate liberty taking arse holes who feck it up and give decent people a bad name, what a bunch of WAN#ERS.
  10. could have thrown all Beddi ? but 13" is very small.
  11. I have an endless supply of trout, my ferrets, dogs and even pups have no problem with them. Make sure you give them big enough pieces so they have to chew and not try to swallow.

  18. I all ways thought tripe was a great food, not on its own but a good staple diet and I still will do unless someone tells me different, other than the water ting because I always had the thinking that if an animal were to catch large game it would always favor the offal. Lee
  19. Yep crane fly.Its what the starlings are after on your lawn.when they dig their beaks in it. Nope not a Crane fly larve (leather jacket). Possible beetle larve.

  21. Hello Socks how much water has say....beef or chicken have in it then. Because I feed my dogs mainly tripe with some complete and it has always performed very well for me. Not to say they dont get whole carcases for time and at the moment day old chicks for the pups as well. I always thought tripe or offal was the most prized by preditors, I know it contains lots of fat.
