    At no point have I said mike is the almighty or the be all and end all of whippets far from the the fact what I am saying is he breeds very good working dogs which I have seen numerous of dogs he has bred with my own eyes if you read back I've said they aren't everyone's type of dog but suit me and what I do and that's why I went to mike for my pup. At no point have I placed mike on a pedestal or tried to knock someone else down a peg or 2 cause that is not the type of person I am made the point in this case many people talk down about mike and his breeding without ever speaking to him or witn

    It always seems to be the people who don't give a fcuk about mike or his dogs who make the negative comments not the lads who have had dealings with him or the dogs

    mb started marketing the phrase "working whippet" alongside ss, working whippets did nt exist before this they were just whippets ss grand parents on one side were Laguna 2 out of 16 grand parents! Y.I.S Leeview i don't know how the phrase working whippet follows on from my post I was talking about mike progressing the working ability and blood line from ss as many people have found 1 or 2 wrong moves and its gone

    mike may not have bred the line to begin with but should be given credit for progressing the blood line we all know how easy it is to loose the working ability many people have tried to create there own brand be it terriers or running dogs and found out they have quickly ruined the line

    I've never read any post saying mike is a great worker of dogs but many people stating that his lines produce good working dogs maybe not everyone's type of dog but they suit me and what I do at the end of the day the dog has only got to please 1 person no matter what lines the breeding is

    They are more robust and certainly quick enough to catch a rabbit still

    its not just the height it's the build so much stronger than most whippets you can tell a mb whippet straight away when you see one and the work in these dogs is awesome they give everything they have every run

    If you want A whippet I would recommend you order 1 from mike brown you will have to wait for 1 but when you get it you won't be disappointed atb hillbilly

    Depends on the ground you will be running the dog on but a pure whippet would be perfect for what your wanting to do

    Have you actually been out with any of his dogs? Or many dogs from him? Just out of interest? And do you actually know how many litters he breeds mate? Or is it all total theory? Being honest, his dogs and the dogs that carry his blood have a very definate physical stamp, which I like. They seem a lot tougher made than a lot of other 'working whippets' I have seen about the place. When you say that his dogs 'will be on par with anybody who has a working whippet'. . . . . is that based upon comparing dogs from different lines, people etc in the field? Or because you have one

    you say you would rather buy from someone else with a honest whippet mikes pups have been proven time and time again I personally have not come across someone who has a pup of him and has been disappointed in it

    Everyone has their own opinion on this subject but for me personally I wouldn't go to anyone else but mike brown heard that a few time to be honest thanks for your help hillbilly boy (excuse the spelling small keypad and big fingers = a whippet botch) haha bad times Haha I have that problem iPhone and big sausage fingers atb with getting a pup

    I would recommend you get a whippet bitch if the terrier is not 100% with other dogs he might not like you bringing another male into his territory

    I would recommend getting him a Beddie x with the whippet you do have to be careful where you run them and at a young age that's not the sort of thing you think about you want to be out running them all the time and anyway you can and the Beddie x is a very robust pot filler
