  1. Yes it is when they could chuck it in an envelope for 50p, but they will have a deal with a courier at a flat or stepped rate with 2.99 being cheapest or only rate you pay so when you order a scope or bulkier item prob still only costs 2.99 (as which point you won't be complaining it's too cheap compared to Royal Mail
  2. Was that because the arnie kept saying I'll be back?
  3. Oh and if you get a new 452/455 remove the bolt and run a graphite pencil all over the bolt, smoothens up the action nicely!
  4. I bought a new cz452 .22 heavy barrel varmint as my first rimmy back in 2006! It's been a great gun with no faults, no modifications, nothing. I've only cleaned the barrel once (learned from my mistake and haven't repeated), and even after 1 year laid up it was bang on target and still smooth. Some people do the triggers, I was never that fussed by its trigger so didn't bother. My advice, get a new or hardly used 452 and get a 1/2 decent scope (Simmons wtc scope - I have 2) a sak mod and sling and your away! I will never change mine. It's very quiet and very accurate. Just bought a
  5. Thanks for the comments, still haven't managed to shoot it but I have scoped it up with my Hubble (viper). I never owned a weichrauch air rifle but I know the rekord trigger is legendary. I ended up with a Fenman (still have it) which is excellent. Re foxes, I've taken one between the eyes at 60 yards with my cz .22 rimmy so I know an HMR will do the job (if shot in the right place) past 100 yards:)
  6. Well, I have now acquired my new (to me) HW60J, from The Duncan (who was a pleasure to deal with) and I have now scoped it up with my daft MYC Viper 6-24 with sunshade! It looks good and the balance is good (prob not great due to having Hubble mounted on it). Next is a trip to zero and then, bunnies and crows, you're in grave danger! Oh and it has a lovely trigger, naturally.
  7. Just bought this and it looks like a stunning bit of kit! Looking forward to scoping it up! Thank you Duncan for being so accommodating!
  8. Nicely put! I never clean my cz .22rf barrel, did once and accuracy went to pot. Dirty barrel all the way for a .22rf but .17 HMR def needs a clean
  9. Agreed semi autos are not too hot but since when are all Annie's semi autos? A ba Annie is superior in build quality to a ba cz (I own the cz)
  10. Tbh I think you may have an issue, although it does depend in your circumstances. Don't answer these questions but were you depressed as it just a little bit feeling sorry for yourself or clinically depressed on medication? Also, re your withdrawal, was it voluntary or were you told if you didn't they would take your licence from you. Re the accusation, was it taken seriously and was it a threat of self or third party harm that was accused. All these points will be relevant, and a dr signing you off as long term ok will be helpful (it may thus be too soon to reapply. Good luck
  11. I have a black iPhone 4 Pm me with the deal your thinking of Chris

  15. Trespass is not a crime. Civil offence only. You can only sue for damage to the property trespassed upon. No damage, no case, simply put Not always. It is a criminal offence to trespass on British Rail land. TC Rail act agreed, but op didn't appear to be British rail. Just giving facts based on facts. It's also illegal to trespass on mod land, again not relevant to op. then there's armed trespass but as no guns involved not relevant! You could try aggravated trespass (basically trespasser preventing you from enjoying quiet enjoyment of your land. A fine point in this case as he was strimmi

  17. Variations are typically much less hassle. A 10/22 will need playing with to improve accuracy and reliability Don't know about the Remington tbh If you want to take up vermin control I would put in for a variation for an extra rifle (bolt action) with mod in a couple if months or once you have a vermin permission
  18. Stow-cum-Quy Cambridge Still Sunday and Monday to go Bit of a washout today, hopefully more stands will pop up tomorrow too.
  19. I've heard many bad things about 10/22's needing fettling before you can get decent and consistent accuracy. Also semis are known to be less accurate than bolt actions. Unless you really need a semi I would recommend a bolt action. On that side of things the choice is greater with cz being a personal favourite! Chris
  20. Think I might take the 5 yr old 452 with boyds stock @ 320, any thoughts?
  21. Yes 2 sides his side and the right side. Facts don't lie, I have proof he received refunded item and proof I never got refund (I.e. NO MONEY FROM Him). Lets just say if you see anyone selling stuff from Basildon, benfleet or similar be careful
  22. I just got gazzumped on the 455th, back to the drawing board! Other option is a 6 month old 452 for 285
