6 years! According to this 2 hours should've been enough : Tortoise Shell and Chicken Bone Soup with Walnut Kernels Ingredients Tortoiseshell 30g, shin bone of black chicken 2, walnut kernels 10, salt to taste. Preparation 1. Crack the tortoiseshell and chicken bones, and place in a pot with an adequate amount of water. Stew over a low fire for approximately 2 hours. 2. Add the walnut kernels and salt and continue to stew until the walnut kernels become soft. Add more salt to taste and serve. haha your twisted

  10. But I only say that may be better than pure deerhound as the one I've seen run were lacking not putting down the breed as I've only seen a handful and maybe it was just my impression one off the owners who lives in the highlands says her dogs still work original quary regular so perhaps that's why they seemed half hearted on coursing
  11. I'd say saluki deerhound be better than straight deerhound but what it would add to saluki I don't know maybe a keenness for fox as not many straight salukis will take fox there must be a good reason as to why this cross hasn't been used as with all the strange crosses there is a reason there not popular
  12. I've seen pure salukis and pure deerhounds course and you can't even compare them for those saying there similar a saluki turns sharper and from what I've seen they work there quarry harder deerhounds follow an don't course just put a burst on in the straights an don't be fooled by their heavy build they can shift some but they don't seem to have the drive maybe they would on there original quarry but there not as good as salukis by a long way
  13. That sounds a good cross the half greyhound quarter saluki quarter deerhound seems like would be a much more useful dog
