  1. Hi My jill is to give birth around the 15th of this month, over the last 2-3 days i have noticed her face going skinny and her body is more defined, compared to before when she was chunky and fat in the face. Is this natural practice of pregnancy ? She is moulting alot, so im guessing that could play a part in it.
  2. I read before that a eagle owl was on the loose and was causing some bother to local residents the owl turned on a police dog, german shepard and tried to hunt it down.
  3. Huh... mine definately didnt need any encouragement, when they had their first carcas they knew streight away what to do. Nearlry ripped it out of my hand
  4. Finished uni today, so to celebrate took the dog out for a trek up the mountain. Came accross the carcas of a dead calf, and not 20m away was another dead lamb Ferret food. View from the base of the mountain Tess my cocker spaniel
  5. I gutt and skin mine. By skinning it lessens the chance of fleas and ticks getting passed on to the ferrets. But some people do the opposite to me, its up to you i suppose. No real harm if you throw them in whole.
  6. What makes it worse is that your dog was on a chain, making it pretty much impossible for it to escape from the other dog, so its only defenece is to fight.
  7. Good idea, i tried using a new litter tray today, but my jill just wrecked it and turned it upside down.
  8. Oh sorry i only have Primark exclusive range, in black, will they do ?
  9. You should have washed them before you gave them to her Suppose i left myself open to that didnt i. Yes they were clean hardly used in fact. FL, i could sort you out with a pair of boxers if you like. How'd you want them clean or unwashed, all the better for sniffing
  10. Yeh she is scratching alot. For bedding i have shredded paper and an old pair of boxer shorts ( i hate cotton boxers no room for menovure) she loves sleeping in the boxers, theres a load of ferret fur stuck on the boxers, so surely thats a sign of her moulting. Lloyd, mine is due 15th ish
  11. My one is due in 2weeks time, she's piling the weight on. just gave her a mouse i caught in a trap, plus a raw egg. At what stage do they start to moult, am i right in thinking that they moult to line the nest with their fur ?
  12. Try having a look in adtrader.co.uk they have loads of stuff for sale in there.
  13. I have the same rifle and i use crossman accupels. I have been told by many lightning XL users that these are most accurate, but each rifle has its own preference. So its hit and miss so to speek. If i was you keep to the same brand.
  14. Yep rabbit is in the freezer for her, loads of chicken wings available too. oh yeah a raw chickens egg every 3-4 days.
  15. I'm in the same boat as you Lloyd. I plan on leaving the kitts alone for a week (in the bed compartment), I'm just gonna feed mom and handle her if she comes to me. Then after a week i aim to have a quick look at them, check the numbers and general health, once i know everyting is A ok i will be satisfied. I'm going to take my time with the jill as its her first litter, so she may be a bit cagey around her young.
  16. No image isnt photoshopped. The photo was taken by a staff photog from AP. Photo agencies wouldnt dare make something up like this or thier arse would be grass.
  17. Those legs look fooking huge, especially the one in the middle of the screen.
  18. Nice little meal for the ferrets tho.
  19. You can get a decent tray of chicken wings for around £1. I buy two trays and bag the wings in small numbers, to defrost and feed the ferrets.
  20. ebay number 300084200447
  21. Until they are brought out of season. Or until there is less than 18hrs of daylight ( i read that somewhere) It is advised that you bring them out of season, as it could prove fatal for the jills.
  22. You know us so well . I'm glad you have taken note, i'm still training mine working on kitchen skills at the moment Oh i bet your Mrs dont read this does she Nope.. I'm on the computer while she's washing the dishes in the kitchen N
  23. I watched it, i would definately eat it if i liked it (i like everything so i guess i would eat it) Cant beleive animal rights dumped a truck full of manure outside his restaurant, because of the horse meat. Although horses are domesticated for human enjoyment use. they are still animals, like sheep, pigs and cattle, so whats the difference. People are not used to the fact of eating horse meat, plus horses are seen as friendly creatures, which you ride on when you go to the beach, when you are a kid.
