  1. So sitting down and eating your meal with a soft drink before 6pm makes you less likely to contract covid-19 than sitting down at 6.10pm with a meal and a alcoholic drink then! The cynic in me is starting to think this is more and more about control.
  2. I’ve said it before, its one of the best forums on the internet. I don’t post very often but there are some genuine comedians on here and I’m not sure they even no it, keeps me entertained for hours on end ?
  3. Just down the road from you they are reporting the ASDA distribution depot has over 40 confirmed cases, if food distribution gets disrupted it could start getting messy.
  4. He fancies a couple of days off, got loads of them where I work doing it. They have a cough must self isolate (always a Thursday or Monday), get a test, two days later negative result, two weeks later repeat. Owners are doing their nut but they cant do a thing as its the law and don't fancy a £10k fine.
  5. Got them all beat................ Funniest has to be............
  6. Hi mate, this place might give you a idea, obviously 1st editions/specials etc would command better money ? https://www.anglebooks.com/
  7. The term "Essential" was exactly that my friend goverment term or not, with out the above I mentioned continuing I wouldn't have given this country 3 days before the complete breakdown of law and order. Were you aware any one on furlough could have got a "2nd job" and still receive 80% of their wages from the government ? I know of at least two people who did this and also a friend who is self employed continued cash in hand work, so yeah I stand by my original statement even if you feel that comes from the "goverments guide to tax and dummies" ?
  8. Really "Establishment", Supermarket workers , utility workers, Doctors and Nurses, care home workers ? And "safe as houses" I dont think so, they are just as likely to have their jobs ripped away as anyone else. Look if you think its right the people that worked throughout putting there selves at risk to keep the country going should now have the their taxes raised to pay for the ones that sat at home for 3 months getting 80% of their wage subsidised , thats fine just do me a favour and dont clap on a Thursday night or draw pretty rainbows on your windows when that shite starts up aga
  9. So Wales only allowing "essential goods" to be purchased in supermarkets whilst they are in lockdown ? https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/have-your-say-should-supermarkets-sell-essential-items-only-during-lockdown/ar-BB1ajvHB?ocid=msedgntp
  10. I agree and have mates that have done alright out of it. Now what would be fair is TAX breaks for all those who worked through out, the NHS, shop workers, care workers, utility workers etc the ones who didnt have the payments. Wont happen though we will have to make do knowing we had had a lovely clap every Thursday when our taxes increase to pay for it !
  11. I replied mate ? Sent it PM now ?
  12. Jimmy Doherty ate one in Jimmys Forest the TV programme where he had a tree house. Made the little black chap eat some they said it tasted like shite ?
  13. Been out with a mate a few times so bought a purse net making kit and gave it a go. After a couple of complete balls ups I finally made my first net, went on to make a further 8, really quite addictive............ just need my own ferret now ?
  14. He will have to get another 2 rod licence, the 3 rod licence is a relatively new thing brought in because of pressure from the angling trust. The plus is he will be able to fish 4 rods if the water he's fishing allow it.
  15. Boilie making has become somewhat of a science over the years but you can make it as hard or as easy as you want. I've caught on a simple 50/50 mix (soya flour/semolina) but it is not particularly nutritional for the fish, you can add what ever you want but will find things like EMP or ground hemp will make the base mix coarser and harder to roll with small baits. A cheap mix of 30% soya, 30% semolina, 30% trout pellet dust and 10% milk powder would be a good start and if bought in bulk will work out a lot less than £3 a kilo. Three bits of advice try to keep to the correct dosage on
  16. For all the media lies the vast majority of Bristolians were not happy with Colstons statue being removed the way it was. This is the second time some left wing "artist" has tried to jump on the bandwagon with divisive art, its grinding on a lot of folk and there were already rumours it was going to be "removed" by certain unofficial groups. Unless they decide to erect a statue of a large flagon of cider I think they should remove the plinth and not replace it, there will always be some controversy attached what ever goes up now.
  17. It wasn't a dig mate it was a observation from a non-dog man ? The dogs are so focused on the rats and there is so much going on around them it must be a right buzz.
  18. Love watching these vids but I'm always watching them thinking that bucket is going to come down on the dogs at any minute ?
  19. With all the shit going on in this world this thread is a breath of fresh air, nice one all. ? PS: I'm going to be a first time Granddad in August (still cant believe it I'm far too young ?).
  20. I don’t think its cowardice, what has been created is a nation of selfish, confused and insular people. Goverments have eroded our culture through mass immigration and we no longer want to integrate with our neighbors, we have become wrapped up so much in our own little bubbles and no longer know what we are, who we are, and what we stand for. We have become so media led we do not know what we can say without upsetting someone or how we are supposed to fit in, so we look to the media to show us, or sink further into that bubble. The sad fact is a lot of us have very little tho
  21. Portishead marina, nice comfortable setting chance of a few and a tackle shop 2 min walk away and if the goings slow do a bit of crabbing. As others have pointed out the BC is not the place to start kids on. ?

  23. Always been the same there mate, I got banned two years ago. Had a permit for a van, one tip a month, it was a astra van so not massive, took down 2 black bags of domestic rubbish told they weren't taking vans in that day but a shogun with trailer was rammed to the rafters and tipping. Had words with the knobhead who then banned me (vehicle reg). Went home jumped in the wife's car put 4 more bags and some crap from the shed and I was let straight in ! Should have dumped it in the caravan that's been left 100yds up the road, its been there for two weeks now and its been stuffed with rubbis
  24. Very helpful, not stereotyping in any way ? Hope that gets flung straight in the docks too. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/new-statue-of-bald-fat-man-in-wheelie-bin-appears-next-to-edward-colston-plinth/ar-BB15ylzv?ocid=spartan-ntp-feeds
  25. I binned BASC at £82 per year and now pay £32.95 to country cover club for the same cover. Thankfully Ive never had to use it and I don't get a quarterly magazine, car sticker, or lapel badge with C3...…….I can live with that.
