Its funny you say that I was only saying to my wife last night do we sale the house, but move where? We moved 4 years ago to better ourselves try to distance our self's from this crap and love where we are but that may all change if illegals move in next door and we've seen a massive change in the demographics of the area in a very short time. Do we take our savings and pensions out and spend it before the government pillage them, but what happens if things don't get to the point they appear to be going and you have no back up in your old age ? Its almost like were in a vacuum not really

Councils are being given millions to buy up empty houses, the one next to us has been on the market for a year and has just been sold to a buyer who didn't view it. The locals have already jumped to conclusions and the pitchforks are being sharpened, I've invested heavily in barbed wire. All joking aside if local communities were damaged before we aint seen nothing yet.
-
And whilst sorting out cheaper Oasis tickets they are considering removing single occupancy on the council tax and removing the right to buy.

So many classics, but on a personal basis "Script for a jesters tear" Marillion. Saw them live on a number of occasions can honestly say best band Ive ever seen.

Latest purchase just over a tenner came with a basic carry bag. Used wood pellets and it flamed up for a good 30 mins and continued a heat burn for a further 2hrs does not give the heat out like a proper full size fire pit but looks nice on the table. You can buy a pot stand for a cooking if required so going to try that and going to use the pellets in the kelly kettle. Got the fireproof matt off temu for £4 as well.

This one gets rave reviews, obviously a longer stay alternative. Russian-Bear Hot Tent with Stove Jack (& Wood-Burning Stove) | Family Camp Tents

Woodcock I shot and cooked last year, couldn't bring myself to eat the inards and cook it with his head up his arse. Tasted horrible and will never shoot one again as its a beautiful bird.

They were doing a weekly podcast on you tube called Fox and Father which was interesting but a tad eccentric at times. Since the furore with the two tier free speech malarky they haven't done one so Starmers clamp down appears to have frightened a few "voices" into submission.

Almost all bivvies have the poles attached, most can be put up in seconds.
-
Another good place to look always have some good deals when the bivvies move on to the next model Cheap Fishing Bivvies, Brollies, & Shelters | Huge Discounts (total-fishing-tackle.com)

Depends on the type of camping you are intending on doing ? A bivvy will be quicker to erect but will be heavier and bulkier to carry than a normal camping tent. Also depending on time of year single skin bivvies can be terrible for condensation where as most camping tents are twinned skin. Plenty of extras for bivvies available now so you can do add ons, skull caps porches, different types of doors etc.

Cracked me up that did Had a conversation with some lad on a football forum a while back and I said if I was in another country whether that is on holiday or by some slim chance emigrated I would embrace that culture, eat their food etc. Him and another couple of belters actually said it was racist as the expectancy was for foreigners to do the same when they came here, I thought they were joking but they were deadly serious!

Somewhere a bit different today out of my comfort zone

Bit rich that
-
Rich Lives Matter as well jukel123............shame on you
-
Well that was my experience and that of many others, sorry it didn't fit in with whatever narrative you had yesterday.

To quote Donald Trump "I have no idea what you are on about and I don't think you have either" so I will bow to your superior knowledge and give you a pacifying thumbs up

So all we've done is gone around in circles as now I'm going to say exactly what I said on the other thread but more bluntly, stop pissing the UK tax payers money up a wall. Tax Bezos 99% and you and I would still be exactly the same, wages would be the same, we'd still have to wait 6 months for a doctors appointment etc etc, the only change would be Amazon would sod off out of the UK and 75,000 people would be out of a job. And you still haven't defined rich or poor ?
-
Where did I say tax everyone equally ? I don't think taxing "wealthy" people "until the pips squeak" will have anything other than a negative effect. Again define poor, you havent explained what you consider rich yet you just keep throwing out these words with no context ? The man with no mortgage living in a £200k house or a man living in a £1 million pound house mortgaged to the hilt ? Like I say all relative. I'm no financial expert but for the record I think nobody should be paying tax earning below 25k pa, 40% should be the max anyone is taxed regardless off income or wealth a
-
I nearly didnt bother responding after I saw "People may have been protesting about high levels of black immigration" as IMHO the protests were a multitude of things but as I was also a great believer in "taxing the rich until the pips squeak" I thought I would drop in my two pennethworth . Firstly define "rich" and "wealth", Inherited wealth or earned wealth? Inherited wealth...............To put it in to perspective I have a mate who went to university with the son of a Baron. In conversation I mentioned how it must be great to be that wealthy and he said not sure its that great on

It was a combination of things, again I think you knew that. I keep losing a grasp of the point you are attempting to debate so Im out as well, it was fun whilst it lasted
-
Exactly, who knows. I believe and I think you knew this, Wilfs point was the irony of funding these things when our own country is slowly losing its culture and identity. Not sure what labour are promising, didnt Starmer promise not to touch the pensioners winter payments?
-
Do you think if the taxation of his business wasn't so high it may have continued?
-
No thats the plan
