All things considered I think its between a hilux and a subaru forester. Just gona weigh up the pros and cons......got a works van as well so maybe just take the plunge with a hilux.

My mates have got toyota hiluxs, id have one but reckon my budget might not stretch to a decent one.

To be fair the motor ive currently got has been nothing but mither. Its a Dodge caliber bills after bills for different things. I dont mind paying for something thats reliable.....il only use it for lamping, my mrs will have it most of the time because ive got a works van that does the job for a lot of stuff.

Read a topic on here about em seem to have mixed reviews on the x trail......I looked at one today boot space seemed pretty good to be fair. Boot space and reliability are my main things. Subaru forresters have a good reputation on here at least, anyone had the mk3 diesel?

Hiya lads, as the title says im in the market for a new motor my current one isnt big enough for my pack of mutts. Got a budget up to around 7 grand, itl be for my lamping trips and for the mrs in daytime. Think its time for a 4x4 been reading through various threads on here seems there's some real shite ones about so any advice would be of help. Cheers Moorside

Ive got 2 bitches and a dog, I definitely prefer the bitches temperament. Though if I was after a bullx type id always go for a dog, that bit extra beef the dogs tend to have can make all the difference when the going gets tough. That said my mates got a bitch that could out muscle most dogs.

Pup looks a lot like my bitch when she was younger, shes bred very similar, sire 3/4 grey 1/4 bull, dam collie bull grey.

Ive read posts from irish lads on here about how good some Irish terrier x greyhounds were years ago. But they seem to be a thing of the past now......which generally tells its own story, but maybe its more of a 'trends' thing with rise of the saluki and bull xs??

He looks good pal, coat is a major let down for some beddy xs I think they can be too linty. That dogs coat looks sound. I thought the border lakeland would give a better jacket.
