At the end of the day, if brought on right any half decent type will do a job for you. You can come up with every scenario you like some will make the grade some wont......you pay youre money and make youre choice
I really rate this type, seen some good ones mainly beddy xs but I think the addition of the right terrier blood to the whippet can produce very hard types......which may not suit everyone but it suits me.
The scots should be given another referendum the day after we officially leave the E.U.......then they can enjoy the cup of cold sick that is the Euro.
Read my posts......bitch enters cover......bolts game......and is quick enough to follow up. Quite simple really. And is working alongside much bigger lurchers and saves f****n about with terriers dropping in or hounds giving tongue when youre making detours across "unfamiliar ground"
Ive looked at both of these recently, im assuming youre looking at the newer diesel engine ones( 2008 onwards I think). Ive read a lot about them and there seems to be issues with the subaru boxer diesel engines......and I mean big problems. Be interesting to hear if anyone on here has got one. As for the old petrol motors ive been in a few and they were pretty decent but wank on fuel everyone who I knew who had one of them had binned em for somthing more economical.
I personally would never be without this smaller type they make every mooch into real fun non stop drive and energy. They also help keeping the bigger dogs fit too, that bitch of mine has taken some heavy knocks over thepast few years but nothing seems to slow her down.
The black bitch gaz posted a pic of is mine and shes better than my black terrier at bushing. The fact that shes got pace enough to catch what she bolts is a big plus for me........could do with sourcing an experienced dog (lurcher or whirrier type ideally) that works in a similar way to put over her in due course. Anyone who knows of something that fits the bill pm me if you would prefer. Atb.
Alright lads,
Id be interested to see and hear about any versatile smaller type lurchers that work cover, and have the pace to follow up.
All the best, Moorside
