All came about as result of antis kicking up at some uk rescues bringing dogs over form Ireland to uk to rehome. Their beef i believe was that they should be finding homes for uk dogs first before adding to the numbers from Irish dogs, Greyhound rescues and alike. Problem is they made it a pain for rest of us now. And obvioussly rescues wont afford to rabies n passport vast numbers of dogs. way i see it is its lose lose. Interfearing tw**s...

Any one able to recommend a good light weight, hard wearing wellie, the problem is i only have small feet (size 4), and i find it impossible to find anything of any worth. I usually settle for Hunters coz i can get them in my size but i wear them through within a few months. So any ladies have the same problem? Sensible answers on a postcard please!

where abouts? -
One thing though, that might ostracize you, people may think your from the valleys if you say but , butty or mun. just not the said thing in West Wales. You will have to learn a new set of Welsh / Wenglish colloquialisms. Like dew, never, of course that. And the best one of all who belongs to that boat? TC When we went to france we met an Irish couple who thought "i will be there now in a minute" was the funniest thing, must be an Amman Valley thing!!

Try www.kitschcollars.com there is velcro involved but they r made to measure fit snug no rubbing or twisting and last well got one for the old whippet she wont come out these days if its cold n wet unless shes got her coat on!! Funny enough she buggers off home at the sight of the wet stuff....Ive had the current coat for two years it looks it good condition still.

Right, bit of advise form you all, friends dad lost his dog over the weekend and hes devastated, he had it out the pound years ago so never knew what was in it but clearly some collie/greyhound and sumthing else. He come over to have a look at my selection of dogs to get ideas as to what he wants!! and prefers my bedy/whippet xgrey/collie,to the heavier deerhound bullx, but at a fit 72 yr old he wants sumthing a bit smaller height wise, any suggestions? he would want it as a pet not working Cheers in advance

I hear they r having a few problems with the freezers, so no mince till next week they say! but there is usually lots of it and its good stuff. -
In my experience it made no difference to any of mine. I have 4 males living together so castrated them to try and prevent any fighting as problems arised. Each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses when working them which remained after castration. If they want to work they will. I did find that they listened to and took instruction a little better after they were done, maybe its hard to consentrate when you got testosterone clouding yr judgement, but im a woman so wouldnt know personally!!

Have a 16mnth lurcher to lurcher x with a bit of bull/deer/grey etc.. in it and its crazy, worst dog i have ever owned for being distructive and has bags of energy. i have posted before how at 6mths old it ate through mains electric and turned my gas on in same week, as has been said a lot of exercise is needed and a better diet a RAW diet will give a low protein. They do improve as they got older so dont loose hope LOL. But when out few weeks ago my bed/whip caught a rabbit n before he cud bring it back to me the other nutter came took it then ate it whole!! I never seen anythin like it

There is a product i had a free sample from my vets you can get it on Amazon now called Vetericyn spray, it kills 99% infection within 30 secs and promotes healing. i used for exactly what you were saying and its amaizing stuff, i also used on the dogs face, he skinned on barbed wire bout 10inches starting from under his eye and ending under his chin it was nearly healed in 48hrs cant rate the stuff more highly. from what i read alot of people using it on their horses to good effect. only downside is not the cheapest but it lasted me a while.

Well if you figure out the secret to keeping them quiet let me know, ive a young dog (bull grey/fell/deer) who is noisy as hell, if he comes out with the other dog (bed/whip) you can see the other dog looking at him im sure hes thinking what im thinking which is "shut the f***k up"!! Bunnies can hear him from miles away. Spoils other dogs fun

Only thing not meantioned so far is lungworm, it will cause a cough amongst other symptoms, milbemax worming tablets will do lungworm as well as tape and round, worm every three months with them to prevent but have to treat more regular if you suspect they got it.
