in the case of a child ,i'd hope the parents would have last say. I'd also hope the parents would have the wisdom and respect to know when the time has come edited to add it seems that they have

I've always been of the opinion that if one of my family or myself was so ill that i wouldn't have a quality of life i'd switch the machine off. That was until I was faced with the situation. my brother was admitted into hospital after chemotherapy, and whilst there contracted t.b meningitis. This was misdiagnosed , they put his strange behaviour down to him just being difficult. they sat on the results for a week before it was noticed. the upshot is he's cancer free, but paralysed and unable to speak. They did turn the machines helping him off twice, but he fought on, th

I suppose it depends whether you class lamping as a sport or hunting , then if you are in it to get numbers or not . Only ever see the odd rabbit daytime and they are always close to cover ,rabbits don't play sport ,why should I

As I say ,your dogs your choice. As long as they understand the risk of the mating ,and you don't charge , but sometimes safer buying in than breeding an unproven bitch, Hope they get good permanent himes -

Maybe, i don't know mate .and I ain't condoning it btw, not what I'd do , BUT , they are his dogs , I was just pointing out that if he puts a post up , he'll get flack as the bitch is too young. So if he don't like the flack about breeding a young bitch ....... -

You may well have been best not to lurcherlad. Sometimes lads breed young for whatever reason, maybe it's a line that both belong to and ,say the bitch is past her best years ,or whatever. But you will be shot down for it , and sometimes it's best to keep things to yourself if doing something ,risky, and not liking the replies ,unless they say "nice pups" . But your dogs ,your choice. -

Possibly, it's only black/blue / chocolate that's affect by Merle. So technically a fawn dog could be a Merle and not show it. That's what they mean by crypto-merle. Can be dangerous as you could breed to a Merle ,not knowing and have double merles ,and the possible problems associated. Your bitch showed it as her guard hairs are black. But her fawn colour shows more ,now older. -

Because he isn't Merle , and the bitch don't look Merle in the photo ,although she is ,just doesn't show it as she's sable so only her guard hairs would be affected by Merle -

Has the bitch got a bit of Merle ? -
Dont know if they are recessive , but Deafness ,and possible eye deformation are a possibility ,some will be ok though, maybe even all just don't know. The double merles that are ok ,will pass Merle on to all their pups as they have 2 copies of the Merle gene
-
Not until they start getting about, unless they have it really bad and their eyes can be badly deformed. A lot of white can be a clue , especially around the ears/ eyes but no guarantee. Only what I've read btw not through experience. But I'd be prepared to cull a few

quotes, videos and photos taken off internet sites was huge fuel for the ban, and still used as evidence that the law needs tightening by antis. but l don't think it registers with some , until the knock comes, and everyone in there phone book get the pull too. loose lips etc etc -

Id say greyhound bitches have been a fair bit more than "top quality" bull bitches in producing lurchers of that sort . I think your chances of getting a stud would be easier ,unless you already own a "top quality" bitch in which case you'd be better served doing that breed a service and using a top quality dog over her ,as they must be worth their weight in gold, and I'd be gutted to lose the blood. -
Because they're having a right game ,killing it

fox or deer ,deer would probably edge it just because you can eat it .
