Wow, been following this thread and it's great. Few questions if you don't mind.
Do you use properly tested bulls with good pedigrees or any bull?
Do you ever get dogs with no self preservation that just s team into the big stuff?
How do you enter a dog to stuff like bears? Over here a lot o people will enter doubled for a fox so do you just put young dogs in the pack and just hope for the best?
How often do you lose dogs from these dangerous animals?
Sorry if you don't want to answer any
Funny you should say that Johnny, I have used all manner of things on loads of different dogs.
You need to start off both as calm and as gentle as possible. However I have found that some dogs just don't let go.
Try to get the dog to let go when you want because once you start breaking/choking techniques such as turnin collars or using a break stick you'll have to use then askin as you have the dog. Well from my experience anyway
I put soya oil on my dogs food mate, get it from most horse places. That way the dog won't eat into fat reserves so much when it needs energy.
Gravy is good or stock, adds flavour.
Dogs love cheese and milk, both fatty.
What a great thin for antis to see! So not only do you use 5-6 for single rabbits you also allow your mongrel staffs shite worry stock! That dog should be f*****g shot and so should you for allowing it! Why would you take photos and post it on a public forum? You are a disgrace to the sport and I hope that next time your f*****g cur does get trampled and saves the rest of the good dog people on here the disgrace of having your posts on here!
Ideal foxing Lurcher? Well being purely a lamper the dog should be able to firstly catch the fox wether it is one that jumps up or one I call. The dog shouldn't require a slip and run the beam when told to.
