    It's a shame doc, half the litters bred over here are culls before they're born but they hve to get a litter out of old Betsy before she passes. Lads I know bred a litter out of a 8 month old that that was a cull to a 9 year old bitch that wasn't much better. Asked why I didn't want a pup ffs

    I think the problem the stackers have is thy cant see them under the same conditions. Know a lad in Newport that took us through the mountains ( I'm not sure where I was to be fair) and he pointed out countless places that he said held good numbers of both roe and fallow.

    Kanigra I have the brother to this dog and they'll run all night purely on there heart alone. You could have these dogs like a barrel with flat feet an long nails and there drive alone would push them through. Get them fit and strong footed an they'll do all you ask of them and much more

    Skycat its the same in this country contirary to popular belief. Uphill most lads won't cull in this country they tend to pass on there crap which someone else then breeds from producing even worse

    The hardest ground to run is unfamiliar ground. We don't get hares down here on tht type of rocky ground but can run foxes on ground like that and if the dogs taken there from a young age they soon lean to skip across as if they're not there. I didn't see it as it was before my time but back in the 80s ( I believe it was anyway) ws had blonde down here in the west country and md also had other saluki hybrids of good killing ability on the fens. These dogs had to be Lamped down here as the hares aren't out day times, the big bounding gape of the dog was just no good as the hare would

    The thing with lamping is you could have the smartest fastest Lurcher there is but if you don't put the game in front of it well it won't be much cop. Whatever dog just get it out as regular as possible on as much tackle as you can without breaking the dog or sending it on silly runs and most will dome good. I'm sure it's not coincidence that the lads that have good dogs have good fogs. I don't know the minshaw lads but look at swift and don.
