I agree they are not a dog you can expect to work into old age, their retirement will normally be sooner rather than later, but i have to say i couldn't wish for easier trained, dedicated, hard working dogs with a passion for living. But specific faults like bad feet i have never encountered, mine have always had extremely good feet.
Sometimes it is more to do with the owners rather than the dogs. you leave a very driven dog in a kennel day in day out then take it out working, those un-exercised flat feet are gonna take a bashing, as wil
