  1. Hi Guys, Just wanted to say a massive thank you to davyt63 for sharing the permission letters, and all of you for your advice.... I took the letter, made a few small tweaks and sent a version out via email to a number of local farms, paddocks and golf courses, and today within 3 hours of sending one email I got a call from the owner of a fruit farm who is "plagued with Pigeons" and are desperate for someone to help them out ! Just wanted to share the good news and positive vibes! Matt
  2. Paul, you very much flatter me, I have a horrible feeling with shirt off I'm more likely to be milked/shot, haha...... Thanks guys, have just joined BASC, so will get some insurance stuff printed off, as well as the permission type sheets. I guess we shall see! Matt
  3. Thanks for the prompt and helpful replies..... Think I'm going to sign up with the BASC, insurance policy seemed very reasonable and at a good price. Thanks Davy for a great list of suggestions, I hadn't thought about industrial estates, cemetaries and Hotels, but makes perfect considering I used to live at a crematorium and listened to Dad moaning like *uck about Rats and Rabbits! I'm waiting to get the ok from a local football club who have a Rat problem, so already tapping up local sports grounds ! Matt
  4. Hi Everyone, Please excuse the silly question, but I've just got into shooting, and want to start approaching Farms etc to ask permission to shoot Rabbits and Rats on their land.... I try not to look like a total idiot as much as possible, but have no idea about.... Do all farms have vermin problem? So if you ask, are you likely to be laughed at as being a simpleton? Do 99% of farms already have someone shooting on their land, and if they do is it the "done thing" to have more than one, or is that now treading on toes? Can I offer to speak with the incumbent and see if they don't mi
  5. Hi There, I fear I might have missed the boat a little here, but would love to help out if you're still looking for someone to thin out the Rabbits. Hope to speak to you soon, Regards, Matt
