Ay Up Chaps Looking to fill a slot on my FAC for a .303 Lee Enfield, good money waiting for a decent example, preferably one of the last runs at Fazakerley 1953. Been looking for ages now, they seem to be as rare as hens teeth, no nonsense buyer, no fecking about, right gun will get the right cash. Cheeers Banco

AY Up Chaps Anyone had an FAC application processed my merseyside police lately?, can you tell me how long after the security visit it took for the licence to land on your mat? Thanks Banco
-
Just put my phone on aeroplane mode and now it's fooking vanished !!!!
-
Can anyone tell me what happens after you have had a very positive security visit and interview on an FAC application? Just wait for it to drop on the mat or what? confused.com Merseyside by the way, not had a problem with anyone there at all, had a SGC for decades and previously held an FAC.

Can anyone tell if it's ok to store ammo in the same safe as your FAC guns?

Wms 'sniper For A Day' Experience
paulbanco replied to paulbanco's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Only just realised I can comment directly onto a post, to answer your question, yes, I think it was worth every penny. It was the first time I have ever had a chance to shoot at such long distances and the level of expertise and the confidence of the instructors just carry you along effortlessly and the progression from shooting .22 at 50metres to .308 at 820 is seamless, these guys are so good theymake it look easy -

wanna be Rambos using a bolt action rifle?, methinks not, technical challenge of working out point of aim correction by calculation from wind speed, and elevation based on distance current temp., humidity, type of ammo etc., for hopefully a first time hit at distance?, yes. I could really get into this BIG time. Nowt to do with Rambo mate, I can assure you!! -

Hey Jam1e, most of the day would not be a problem with your lack of mobility except maybe for the mid session which involves driving up a very steep hill track to a mountain peak and shooting across a valley at 500 - 600 yard targets, you can only drive 9/10ths of the way up and the rest is an uphill walk about 50 yards, but I'm sure you could make it with a little help and well worth the effort, I am absolutely sure the instructors would assist and there were 6 in our shooting party yesterday, bloody hell ! we could've carried you if necessary. The day starts with an initial assessment us -
Ay up Chaps I've just returned home from a 'sniper for the day' experience at WMS in mid wales and just had to say that this was THE very best shooting day I have ever been on, and I've been on plenty. Professionally run, unbelievable ranges and they have you shooting at, and hitting targets out to over 800 yards at the end of the day. Think I'm about to sell all of my other stuff and buy a decent AI 308 sniper gun, FANTASTIC GUYS, WELL DONE. Gonna deffo be back soon. Thanks to Neil and Jon for a FAB day Shit, this is gonna be expensive!!!

Wanted 15.5Mm Slip On Silencer For Bsa Sportster Springer
paulbanco posted a topic in Gun's and Rifle's
Messing about with an old BSA Sportster, bringing it back to life as a project at the moment and discovered the silencer is not true causing the gun to throw pellets. Does anyone have a decent replacement I could buy off them please ? Thanks Banco -
Good old Brashers mate, been using them for a long time now

I am looking to get into airgunning, specifically an HW100 in . .22 calibre. New to this so need a complete package, gun, bag, charging kit/bottle, bipod etc., etc., Good cash waiting for the right package. No messing about, quick decision, and you will be selling to a good experienced shooter. Would suit someone looking to get shut of a complete set up.
